I just noticed, the fried chicken is back! At only $12 though. If I'm going to pay so little for my dinner, I might as well just go to Popeye's.

I am quite uncertain what to comment upon the comments of Fried Chicken being back and reasonably priced.

First, let me don my flame proof suit:

Maybe I should request that the Tired Hands beers be reasonably priced as well!?!:astonished:

    Cheers!

Okay I'm officially a little annoyed that they haven't announced the can release yet. Being 2 hours away I typically only go every couple months and was planning on this week so as soon as it was clear it wouldn't be Wednesday I made my schedule around Thursday. I assume they have their reasons but I would love to know why they can't announce these things sooner.

Because by keeping their customers in suspense they get more 'buzz' from this situation?

    Cheers!

Yeah I don't know. I know you're a hype guy, but I don't buy that announcing the day of versus the day before really makes any difference in hype or "buzz" level. If that were the case (and that's what they were going for), why not announce the day of for every release? I think a more reasonable explanation is the opposite, that they're trying to keep the crowd and buzz down, in consideration to their neighbors. They might figure a milkshake release will sell out that day regardless so what does it matter?

It's not just when they announce it's the complete lack of communication. Hey everyone we are dealing with Peco and that means X for this week, or anything.

Pretty sure they couldn't care less about people (empty chairs) lining up 5 hours before a release. They've continually hyped beers up a few days before the release for a long time and people go crazy over a picture of a label for a beer that they don't even know for sure what the hell it will be. #dreambeer

I think a lot of it boils down to just doing things however they want to. These are not people that crave structure. If you think about it though, if they had a clear set release schedule, things would be way more out of hand on the hype front. It would be prob worse than Tree House house gets some days. Not just on the merits of the beer but just that there are 6 million+ people living within a 45 minute drive from Tired Hands. Even with a day lead time you got people driving over from MD, VA, Western PA, etc.

Pretty sure they care about pissing off their neighbors. And you're talking about the tease photos they post days before. That's different than the actual announcement.

That is kind of my point. If anything they want to keep the crowds down (since they know the people will come). Tree House is in the middle of nowhere and they get pummeled. Imagine if Tree House and their structure was in the Philly area? Good lord.

We can agree to disagree then. I haven't been there in a long time because of the over hype and mostly average beer in my opinion. I'd like them to get back to focusing on bottles because I think that's where they excel but they know where the money is at.

Hey guys. Been lurking for awhile and decided to make an account. Not sure if it'll be this upcoming release or not but I saw they had what they're calling a neopolitan milkshake fermenting in he brewcafe when I was there Saturday.

I would assume a same day announcement drop today akin to how BBPMS went

That would most likely be a draft only cafe release. Or they are hiding Easter eggs now....

Their prices are comparable to what you're going to pay for cans at Trillium or Tree House, so I'm not sure what you consider a "reasonable" price. As compared to what?

Honestly, there are so many local breweries around here now, surely you're able to find locally made beers you like at a price you like. That Tired Hands beer apparently doesn't fit the bill is in no way "unreasonable." But if you really can't do without the beer, then maybe it's reasonable they are priced more highly after all?
