My 1st bottle of hop debacle was great! I was excited.

My 2nd bottle was bitterand had an odd "chalky bite"

My 3rd bottle all I could notice was that gross "chalky bite"

I'm afraid to drink my other 3 now...

I personally would never drink more than one bottle in a row. It is so flavorful and intense on my palate. I enjoy the hell out of a bottle and then if I want another beer, pick something not hoppy.

Bought a sixer of Hop Debacle today, but haven't cracked one yet. Too hopped out after the howler of The Bruery's Hoppy Obligations I had filled in Superior, today.

Very impressed with The Bruery's take on a NE IPA. Not as murky as some other NE type IPAs, but the Conan is fruity, the hops shine, and the finish is clean. Don't sleep on this one, folks.

What are you guys paying per six pack of Hop Debacle?

Its $16 up here, but I heard $10 elsewhere. Seems odd that big of a price difference.

    Thanks

I'd like to know who is selling it for $10 as the store would probably be taking a loss. $14-$17 is the range for a sixer of Debacle.

This is my biggest problem with "New England IPA's". Even the good ones can have sediment inconsistencies which can cause different off-flavors and texture issues.

I'm still not quite sold on the style too. I've had some really great stuff from Other Half. But not much else. Debacle was really solid at the brewery last weekend though.

I can't remember the last time I have bought more than 1 six pack of beer. I've bought two of Hop Debacle. I like to mix it up with my Hefes and Pils in the fridge. :grinning:

I'm halfway through my second sixer and haven't had any issues at all.

It's a good NE IPA. Smells the part, would like them to have a little more hop bite/juiciness on the palate, but overall this is the closest that's been accomplished in Wisconsin. For some, this is BJCP sacrilege, but this is an ongoing trend which I welcome.

Tried this one last Friday at the taphouse, horrible beer. By far the worst thing I've ever tasted by Oso. And it smells like dirty feet. LOL. Enjoy!

Looks like Hop Debacle was a hit. It sold so fast that they decided to brew another batch, for release in early May. This is a great beer that seems to be flying under the radar. Keep an eye out for it!

Hop Debacle on tap at Draft and Vessel. It's grossly over priced like everything that's ever been sold there, but they've still got it on tap.
