Civil Society - Spring - 2017

Sorry for multiple posts but I can't edit after 15 minutes. This batch of Fresh is different from 2 weeks ago. They took out the Amarillo hips. Still just as juicy

 

Surprise can drop. Social Lube, a collab with All In. Looks tasty. They say heavy on lemon flavor

 

Per FB:
Today in the draft room we have cans and draft of Social Lube (7%) a beer we brewed with @allinbrewing hopped with Summit, Denali, Mosaic and Ekuanot. We get a ton of lemon character with a decent amout of piney bitterness to balance it out. $16 per 4pk, 1 case per person.

 

Had Social Lube at the Barrel of Monks party. Pretty good but wasn't blown away by it.

This Saturday 4/1 we've got cans of Fresh and Pulp along with cans our collab with @AslinBeerCo Gator Farm (7.5%) a IPA hopped with Eurkea!, Denali, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin. 1 case per of Fresh, $16 per 4pk. 1 case per of Gator Farm, $18 per 4pk and 1 case per of Pulp, $16 per 4pk.

 

I was not a fan of the last Aslin collab, Ballina, hope this one is better. Also Marlins last spring training game starts at 12:05pm on Saturday so parking will be a mess if you plan on getting there when they open, but at least there's no special Abacoa events.

 

What are the lines like for this place. I remember seeing some posts with pretty long lines. But i think that may have been the first or second can release. Thinking about driving down from Orlando.

 

I've been to 3/4 can releases. The only time I remember a line was for Dank star. Only reason I think there was a line was first time canning and they had special glasses. It may have also been the first or second time they canned Pulp. I don't think any of their cans sell out same day.

 

It seems like there is always a few people lined up at opening, I'm usually there so I can get in and out early. And usually there is people opening/sharing bottles if there is a line.

 

There was a longish line for the bottle release, but that was a bit of an anomaly

 

So lets hear it...how is Gator Farm???

 

I like it. But this batch of Pulp is outstanding IMHO.

 

Any danger of selling out of anything?

 

Agreed, Pulp is on point. Gator Farm is good, but need to try it again out of the can for a better analysis.

 

I'm such a schmool. I only got 1 4-pack of Pulp bc grabbed Gator farm, fresh and social lube as well so didn't want to overload fridge with hops that need to be drank. Should've gotten more Pulp. Fantastic batch. Seems less bitter than past iterations, could be due to freshness or just they keep dialing it in. Gator farm was very very good, much better than balina.
