What are the freshest cans of Pseudo Sue you have seen lately? Just wondering.... Have one now form 1/23 and its not bad at all, but just curious lol

Stopped in multiple liquor stores today trying to track down Parabola, and the freshest I saw was something like 2/6.

 

2/01 at the Binny" in Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove. Damn Shame.

 

You guys need bombers like... now. Drinking a DDH from 3/18 and loving life. :/

I got a couple of DDHs as add-ons to a main trade a few weeks ago. They were bottled 3/2. Drank one that night (3/17) with a friend. That's a damn fine beer right there! Damn fine. Been saving the other one to share with family that will be in town from CO tomorrow. Figured it's the least I could do since they gathered up some pretty great BA CO stouts for me...

EDIT: And yes, IL has many problems. Hopefully we can scratch, "Lack of TG bombers" off this long list.

 

I was just in a local Trader Joe's and while I got excited to see cans of Golden Nugget my enthusiasm quickly waned as I discovered the 2/7/17 canning date.
I'll wait this out for awhile...

I read on a fb beer page that the Field Museum gift shop is selling bottles of King Sue. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I prefer what someone else on here suggested: "What did they say when you called?" If you start giving the numbers out, people will post here just for someone to put the number up rather than googling it.

If the Field is selling KS, I would assume Chicago proper will be seeing it soon too. At $30 a bottle I'd probably pass, but something closer to $10...That I can be convinced to care about.

 

Come on, guys. It's a museum for fuck's sake. The chances of an employee knowing the inventory of their gift shop seemed pretty unlikely, so asking here seemed like a better option. I imagined the conversation going something like this (after being transferred multiple times). "Hi, do you guys have toppling goliath's King Sue for sale. It's a beer." "Ummmm... let me check." *waits for 5 minutes* "Yes, we have a beer inspired by Sue for sale." "Is it King Sue or Pseudo Sue?" "One moment. Let me ask" *waits 5 more minutes* "Yes it is the Sue beer"

I was asking more out of curiousity and didn't plan on stopping by. My curiousity wasn't worth what I anticipated being a 10-15 minute phone call with shady results.
