Reading reports that some Boots of Lead are/were infected?

I bought two bottles of a previous release, and both were definitely infected. The brewery sent me a makeup bottle from the same batch that wasn't infected, and it was very different from the two that I bought. I haven't kept track on this most recent drop, but I'd look to the Northeast forum for thoughts on it.

I'm confident it won't be scary. For what I know I've paid for cascade and wicked weed sours in the past I can no longer be scared of beer pricing. I can just choose if that beer has that value to me or not.

That was a different beer, but yes, apparently there were some infection issues with one of the BA Heavy Boots of Lead beers. The one I had was actually delicious and not infected, and I don't believe there have been any reported infection issues with the Rye BA on the shelves now.

Free Will Brewing launching at Max's tonight! I've had some of their sours before when visiting PA and they're pretty awesome.

15/ a four pack, limit six four packs was what I paid at Hunger Mtn. Coop in Montpelier, VT around feb 20th this year. The warren store in vermont had cases of Sip of Sunshine just sitting on the floor. The closer you get to warren VT, the more variety of Lawsons. One of the best places to drink Lawsons is at Mad River Glen ski resort. Sean Lawson works with the resort, and the resorts Pub has one hell of a draft/bottle list.

If you've never had Sip of Sunshine, don't break your neck trying to get it or cut yourself if you miss out. Its a pretty unremarkable beer by 2017 standards. Similar to Pliny and Heady, all great beers and innovative at one time, but there are dozens of similar or better options available.

I'm assuming that this is going to be a one time thing for CBC? Can't imagine DC is going to see regular distro.

KBS "release" is tomorrow but since the majority of retailers in DC don't get deliveries on weekends, it should start popping up on Monday. Unfortunately, I don't get a delivery until next Friday - if only today was 4/1!

Honestly, KBS is good but nothing I would wait in line for. I'm bias, not a big coffee fan. I am looking forward to the Boots of Lead, hopefully non-infected.

They did a waitlist and if you got on the waitlist you were allowed 2pp. Also called Canton Crossing and they said they weren't getting any. Drink in Timonium said they weren't sure if they were getting it. One guy at Shawan told me yes on tuesday and then when i called back last night for more details I was told they weren't getting it anymore.

Yeah, I usually just wait until the highly sought after stuff hits Max's nowadays. I live in the city and don't trade often so it's just so much easier.

I'm not sure. I'm confident it'll be cheaper to buy at CBC than it would be in Vermont if you include the cost of gas or a plane ticket

Glad to hear this. I still want to have Sip but I suspect I agree with you. It also helps that a lot of other Lawson's stuff will be at Churchkey for CBC but-shhhhhhhhh don't tell nobody.

You do know Sip is contracted out at Two Roads in CT (like many of the hoppy Evil Twin beers among many others, a big ass brewery), right? It may be a Lawson's recipe, but it's not exactly their beer either. You can get it, not 'easily' but you can get it in other NE states, not just in VT.
