They were packed today. I got my growler number as soon as I got there and ate lunch with my wife. After eating, I still had an hour wait to get my growlers.

It was worth it though, but next time i'll be back on a weekday.

Was there for the first time - Fluctuation is an unreal beer. Absolutely delicious.

However, growler situation was awful. We pulled a ticket and they were about 60 numbers before us. Didn't even bother. I know they'll figure out a way to speed up a process over time though.

I got lucky with the growlers, some dude gave me his ticket(thanks dude!) and I got in and out pretty quickly. Was definitely a madhouse, and fluctuation is great. Hopefully the hype dies down a little and they can iron out the kinks some.

Will be interesting to see when they start canning and how that affects growler fills. Will there be any growler lines once that starts?

I saw they posted limits on fills. Are people muleing the stuff? How many growlers can you keep fresh at a time?

I didn't see anyone with more than a couple growlers, but who knows... also, I'm pretty sure I was given used caps on my growlers, which seemed a bit odd.

Was at Equilibrium Sunday afternoon. Pretty good crowd, but got 2 seats at the bar...beers were very good, but with all the hype I was expecting better. Had MC2, Fluctuation and Fractal Citra.

Sorry if this has been asked but does anyone know if they fill 750 ml growlers?

Was very happy to check out EQ last week. Tasted all, got a couple fills. There and Back Again Apricots and Peaches is fantastic. Love it. However, Fluctuation did not live up to the hype, and I'm trying to figure out why. It's good up front, but I get a soapy/bitter aftertaste. I had a glass last night, and it took me all night to shake the aftertaste.

    Potential culprits:
-Soapy growler? Doubtful - I clean my growlers with hot water only.
-Soapy glass? I clean my glasses with mild dish soap and/or hot water and have never had this issue.
-Too long in my fridge? (One week) - I don't know, maybe...but I have had IPAs sitting in unopened growlers in my fridge for 2-3 weeks with zero taste deterioration.

Did anyone else get this with Fluctuation? Any thoughts as to why? I will certainly be back, but was really hoping to enjoy this more. #firstworldproblems

    new Citra beer tasting nice.

they really gotta work on the live music volume though lol. a bit weird to have a band start at 5pm, and then have the volume up so high that it's impossible to hear ANYTHING in the grille. just felt out of place, and quite distracting. would be different later in night, but a bit early for blaring music. and I'm not usually one to be annoyed by stuff like this. that combined with our waitress being MIA for 25 minutes, without asking if the food was fine (even if it was), turned me off from the grille.

awesome beer as usual though. definitely some kinks to work out for the grille part.

Stopped in at the brewery on Saturday. .pretty laid back vibe and for lunchtime wasn't too crowded...friendly staff and as this was the first time I've had any their beers, came away very impressed..the vulgar display of power, mc2, and fractal citra were all fantastic and I also dug mmm...osa...will be planning a trip back for sure

Had Vulgar Display at TAP this weekend. It blew me away. I've liked all the Equilibrium beers I've had prior but was never blown away. This beer changed it for me.

I went up there on Friday. Cool space, especially if the weather is nice. Unfortunately the beer was a bit underwhelming. MC2 was really great, stood out for me in a line of very very similar beers. And that's my biggest issue with this place- they have zero variety. It's like 8 IPAs/pales and one sour, which was good/not great. And I'm fine with a place having lots of hoppy beers, I'd just prefer that they have distinct characteristics. Other than MC2, the hoppy stuff all kinda tasted the same. I got a flight and tried a couple others and got bored pretty quickly. I would much rather have spent the time at OH, despite the awfulness of that tap room.

Went to Hudson Valley right after and Suarez on Saturday and let's just say equilibrium took the bronze for the weekend.

pretty solid silver, gold, bronze lineup. nothing to shake your head at. TBH they all have their own unique tastes. If your palette craves more sours and some hoppy stuff then HVB is your place. If you want more quaffable, low ABV, with a wide variety then Suarez fits the bill. If you want a more NE IPA brewery that is the newest of the bunch then check out Equilibrium.

Rushing Duck might be the most traditional craft brewery. I'd say the other three are a newer wave that try to master a particular style/approach.

Equilibrium just posted a picture of an empty cardboard case on Facebook with this caption:

"We got a whole lot of these weird boxes today. I wonder what we can use them for?"

    It has begun.

For those that live in the Middletown area, is there somewhere in town that would have growler fills closer to lunch time? I totally spaced on the growler hours and will be driving through well before the hours start.

thanks for the tip! that place looks amazing, great tap list with Hudson and peekskill too. The crowlers will be perfect for taking to the golf course.
