Don't forget that lots of bars don't know the difference and will list them interchangeably. I'm pretty certain that one of the kegs of PvW "Merkin" was labeled "Merlin" during beer week.

Yeah, I was kind of guessing that would be next after Mr. Walker's Wild Ride during LA Beer Week!

Merkin (first use 1617)[1] is a pubic wig. Merkins were originally worn by prostitutes after shaving their genitalia, and are now used as decorative items, erotic devices, or in films, by both men and women. Yikes.

The first one up should be Agrestic Ale per "Sour Jim" from FW.

Do you really know the story? Not different beers. Same. Same beer.

one is aged longer, that makes them different in my book. It's like saying all the yeti's are the same beer, but they're not
I know they are different because I've had the full barrel aged version

But as was stated earlier, if they happened to bottle that EXACT beer, they'd have to call it Merlin for legal reasons. Hence, same.

The brewery itself, in their tasting room and restaurant in Paso Robles have recently had both Merlin and Merkin on tap at the same time. They are different beers. Future bottle labeling issues aside they are different.

Stone should come out with a beer called Neuticle, Stone Neuticle.
