I'm assuming its 2016 King Sue?

It's possible that the beer is older than the dinosaur based on my early experiences with TG in Illinois.

If it's the December 1st batch, I would pass on it even if it was December 2nd of last year. It was pretty bad. Think of it like an imperial version of the cans. It's that bad.

As for the last batch from February? It was, and from I've heard still is, incredible. Is it $30 a bottle? Eh, maybe if I'm planning on walking around the museum for a bit, then ya I'd pull the trigger. I don't think I'd drive into the city to buy it for that though. Just food for thought.

Man, I almost passed on KBS for being close to $30 for the 4-pack. I'd end up being extremely upset with myself for dropping $30 on an DIPA bomber...

Is it even worth knowing, at $30/bottle? :astonished:

No doubt it is steep. But having never had it...if it's good enough, I would probably just buy one.

Don't you also have to, y'know, pay to get into the museum too?

This is even worse than I thought folks. Called the museum regarding age and pricing of their Sue and it looks to be an old batch from 65 million years ago and priced at about $35 million.

I offered them $30, but they said I'd owe them 200 bones at that price.

    1 per museum per era.

Worst part is you have to buy a Triceratops or a 4 pack of Trilobites before they let you buy the Sue.

Yeah, and everyone knows that dinosaur from FL isn't nearly as good as dinosaur from IA.

The Sue is nice and all, but the real good stuff Are the fossils from the black tar pits. Too bad it never leaves Iowa though, and you gotta be on a list.

I'll probably cellar mine until they turn into coal then burn through them all at a share.

Haven't you heard? We Iowans have rivers of flowing TG stouts and they grow as plentiful as the corn. We're just stingy and don't trade them.

But for real though. I don't know how many people hit me up about TG stouts expecting them to be so plentiful and easy to trade for. Just because I was an Iowan, doesn't mean I have a whole cellar full of them just for me.
