Boulder, Colo. (April 3, 2017) — Upslope Brewing Company, maker of post-outdoor adventure craft beer, is excited to announce its first installment of a new annual Experimental India Pale Ale series as part of the seasonal Limited Release lineup. This series focuses on experimentation with hops and will highlight different, hand-selected varieties each year.

Brewed to feature the Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Lemondrop hops selected by Upslope brewers, the 2017 Experimental IPA pours a pale amber color and comes in at 6.4% ABV and 65 IBUs. Its melon and stone fruit aromas follow a balanced hop character with an herbal tea-like finish.

“This annual Experimental India Pale Ale series is our chance to show our brewing team’s commitment to innovation and the exploration of hops,” said Upslope Brewing’s Head Brewer, Sam Scruby. “This year’s inaugural batch showcases some of our favorite hops, which together, deliver a punchy combination of hop goodness for one of our favorite IPAs yet.”

The 12-ounce 2017 Experimental IPA will be available for consumption at Upslope’s two Boulder, Colorado tap rooms and can be found in six-packs and in Mix Boxes in stores through June. To learn more about Upslope Brewing, its year-round, seasonal and specialty series beers, visit

Another "experimental" IPA...even my peripatetic tastes are starting to tire of going to the store and never seeing the same IPA twice. Oh well, it's what the kids like these days, I guess.

Also, "post-outdoor adventure craft beer"? Yikes. How do write a jingle for that catch phrase?

Most of Upslope's stuff is at least tasty and sometimes great. So I'll probably try it. Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Lemondrop should be good. I liked Odd 13's SMASH Idaho 7 beer but thought that the hop would be better in the background with a hop like Mosaic.

I really like the SMASH Idaho 7 IPA - It was super lemony and citrusy, but you can get tired of it. Upslope's IPA's are typically on the maltier side which for me at least, drown out the hops a little bit. Mosaic and Idaho 7 sound like a great combo. I hope this one isn't too malty. I'm interested in trying something different from Upslope!
