This is going to be such a "Noob" question, but I don't care. From what i am reading of this thread, Firestone walker recipie, brewed completely brewed by boulevard? Under supervision by FW?
I know they collaborate a lot but, either boulevard gets a "quiet" kickback on Parabola or they would insist on their name on the label...?..... not confused and much as curious. Unless a brewmaster veteran can tell me
"This happens more than I know"
    And that's ok to.

Well Boulevard is owned by Duvel so they were probably just told you're brewing Parabola this year and that's that. No kickback or name recognition is needed, they're all working together under Duvel.

@TheJermis So how did it go with Brewing Parabola? Could you tell us about anything you guys learned during the process or any interesting Parabola stories that BA's would enjoy reading? Either way good job, more Parabola is a wonderful thing!

I'm just jelly of your access to great beer and obviously large expendable income.
I probably could have gotten like 4 bottles of Bravo around here, most places had a 1 bottle limit at ~$10 a bottle. I only got one, but i might try and pick up three bottles parabola so i can have one to age, one to drink myself, and one to share with my friends.

I think everyone gets jealous about beers that you have a hard time getting and others can acquire easily. I would love to get access to those great NE ipas everyone raves about. But we just don't get them over here. But that's what trade partners are for right.

Do beers like this normally see a restock? My area at one place seemed to get just 3 cases. Only 12 bottles were left when I showed up at noon. That's crazy for a metro area of almost a million, where one of the largest retailers not only has no limit but just a couple cases allocated. I get NM is a newly distributed area (since this past august).

And in fairness to @BWood, I did what I had to do. Apologies on calling you out.

Basically the three cases are more than we ever had here. So there's nothing to compare. It's just hard to imagine hearing about a doubling in production and my area getting scraps. Reminds me of bcbs

I passed too. In my market the dollar per oz went up with the packaging shift. I was on the fence with 22-24 a bomber. Plus they didn't even brew the damn beer.

Neither does evil twin, toppling Goliath, almanac, or anybody else brewing out of a different facility. Hell, even pliny is brewed at firestone during Russian rivers expansion. Doesn't mean much, i dont think. Especially for a barrel aged beer, which tend to be different every time.

Not to knock on boulevard too hard, but they've had their issues with stouts. It all adds up, and I'm not going to take the risk.

Yeah, there scotch on scotch was a major fail on their part In my book, in my book at least. But BLVD has really never been known for their stouts. But I've heard 2017 is one of the best Parablolas is years fresh. I'm hoping for great things, expecting good things, realize it's BLVD and hoping it's good. Granted FW was observing majority of this beer.
