I would prefer the metal bands to disappear and the price to go down accordingly.

 

Recall that there's a clause that allows mentioning metal so long as it is talking about how bad it is or metal band names. Is Demon Rimjob taken?

 

I'm currently in Munster (took a day trip to Chicago) its 42 degrees and pouring rain sideways. This IS Darklord day.

 

Another rookie DLD first timer here. Any insight from previous years if they have some of the variants available on draft? Or just regular dark lord and other guest taps?

 

Are there still tents if the weather is nice? I would hope the shares would move outside.

2016 variant bottle count was ~8500. That probably put ticket sales at 10,000 considering they had the 3 2015 variants as choices too.

I would not be surprised to learn the vintages make up that 1,500 difference this year.

 

Variants will be available on draft. Kegs get tapped at random times, a giant line forms immediately, and the keg blows quickly. It's all about being in the right place at the right time.

That being said, if you check the drafts regularly, you should be able to get lucky at least once throughout the day.

In previous non-hurricane years, there was a small tent like the (DJ tent last year) with picnic tables. The massive tent was only the last 2 years. In 2015, they actually put it up a day or so before.

If it's nice out, the tent will still be prime real estate because of the tables, but it's pretty much everywhere.

 

Sure, bottle count was around 8,500, but there's no way they sold every bottle. I bet there's at least 1000 bottles that didn't get sold at DLD and were held back.

How many they have left is another story though.

 

It is in a circus tent. It's gray on the inside and most people are too drunk to remember paying the clown on the way in.

There are still tents. The sun will beat you up. Warpigs even the weather was gorgeous and they had the tables under tents. You'll want the shade- DLD is 99% pasty white guys...
