Pretty ridiculous statement IMO

 

Ridiculous? Ha. Dont think that qualifys as "ridiculous". You can just not agree, that's fine. I have seen many people in this thread alone who put JIL in their top IPAS coming out of the Midwest. Thus, don't think my statement was that outlandish ha. To each his own right.....

 

My apologies brother, that comment was a generalization and not intended towards you. My opinion was more aimed at alot of the chatter I hear in other forums and with some of my local beer community. Hate is a shitty word haha

 

Ram Wheeling released Rubber Ducky today; not being billed as "NE style" but made with flaked wheat and oats and dry hopped with galaxy and motueka, grabbed a crowler (excuse me, Ram Can ) today at lunch, will report back this evening.

 

Let's Gummy is awesome! It's a perfect mix between Jive Gummy and Mosaic Gummy - soft mouth feel, big citrus smell and taste, with a lower bitterness. Come down and get some!

 

I had batch 3. Wasn't impressed, but overall I wasn't impressed with many of the beers I've had there. Not bad, just nothing to write home about. Ridge Rider was by far my favorite of their offerings. Nice little pale ale. Not a bad little brewpub to visit though if you're down that way.

Awesome! Was planning on a trip tomorrow. Think it will still be available via draft and crowler come tomorrow at noon? Their previous gummy offerings lasted weeks, but noon whistle did just win the Chicago brewery March madness tournament so hype is spreading ha

 

I would assume so. Jive Gummy is still on tap, and that was 2 releases ago.

 

Anyone know if hop butchers new ipas made it out to arlington heights? Downers Grove or farther west?

To anyone that has had them..... are Telehopic and Honey worth getting?

 

Can only speak for Telehopic and can only speak from own personal taste/opinion.
Picked it up at Binny's on Grand, they were already out of Honey and said that they only got like 8 4packs of Honey.
In my opinion regarding Telehopic: no. I struggled to finish a can yesterday. Forcing myself to finish a can as I type this. Noticing that SLIGHT Belgian-esque aroma as it warms up and twang today in the taste as well. Definitely not NE style. Poor for a regular IPA imo. Not a fan at all.
But to each their own.

 

That has been the general consensus. Just missed out on the last of it at sloop. The last couple releases have missed their mark.

 

I had both and was not a huge fan of either. Liked Telehopic a bit better but nothing compared to their better offerings. Too much hype.
