For me

Jive>>Mosaic>Vortex>Funny

Funny had a bit too much bitterness in the finish for my preference in the style.

 

For me:

1. Pineapple Gummy Vortex
2. Gummy Vortex
3. Mosaic Gummy
4. Jive Gummy

Liked all of them, but especially Pineapple Gummy Vortex.

 

For me:

1. Can it

2. Put it in cans

3. Can the beer

4. Package the beer in a canned format

 

That pineapple was unreal. It's a flavor I've never had, and frankly one I'd never expect, in a NE Style IPA, and they knocked it out of the park. Every time I've been in there talking to the head brewer, I drop hints to make it again.

 

Didn't have the pineapple one but the new rankings for me:

1. Mosaic
2. Funny
3. Vortex
4. Jive

There hasn't been a bad one of the bunch. It's really splitting hairs between them all!

 

Pineapple was sooooo good!

 

Yea it's tough to rank them, they are all great

3. Peach Funny

I agree. I think another part that played into why I liked it so much was that it exceeded my expectations after coming into it thinking it was going to be very solid already.

 

Too bad, I must have missed the pineapple version. Here's my rankings:

1.) Peach Boyee (version of Funny Gummy) -
2.) Funny Gummy - these 1st 2 are completely interchangeable with me - all amazingly tasty beers. I rated Peach Boyee above F.G. here because the ole lady liked this one slightly better I liked peach better at first, but took a crowler home a week later of Gummy and maybe changed my mind
3.) Jive Gummy
4.) Mosaic Gummy
5.) Vortex Gummy

 

Totally forgot about the peach variant. Agreed, that is easily #1 for me.

 

I think the best way to do it is to exclude the variants - I think people would like the peach on any of the base beers - but I did like peach the best and the blueberry firkin the least:

1) Funny Gummy
2) Gummy Vortex
3) Jive Gummy
4) Mosaic Gummy

Those are the only ones I've had.

 

Anyone else try the Blueberry Gummy from the cask about the a month ago? It was really the only miss of the bunch (felt the tastes were really muted), but I definitely appreciated the offering. I'm also sure it didn't help that I had it after the Pineapple Gummy.

 

Exactly the same sentiments. I had the Blueberry Gummy and thought it was hugely undercarbed (yes it was cask) and underwhelming in general, and this from a blueberry fan. But after Gummy Vortex and Pineapple GV, it definitely was a noticeable drop off. It was my least favorite of the 4 I had then (WeBeLogjammin being the last one).

 

I agree. Casks don't tend to be my favorites, but even with that aside this particular one just wasn't that good to me.

I also can't fault them for trying something different. Casks are a good way to do that.

 

Has anyone tried Lets Gummy! today? I assume its another NE IPA, but I am not positive from their description.

Very citra forward, it's awesome! They just keep getting more refined each release.
