It does come with vanilla and/or marshmallow. You're on your own for the Handjee.

I think I'm in this thread too often. I had a dream about DLD last night. I was late for some reason, so I was rushing through the line to try to get a variant. I got one, and I was excited until I looked at it. It was aged in red wine and sake barrels with fermented shrimp. I think I would rather have the one with hot mustard and cardamom.

Considering the commonality of over priced donuts, Im surprised Three Floyds hasn't gotten on board.

$5/ Dark Lord dunked donut. $50 for vanilla frosting.

If you end up eating all 6 of your sandwiches that each has a pound of deli meat like you mentioned above, I think you may run (see what I did there?) into the same problems.

    Yes :slight_frown:

I think my excitement of constantly checking is the difference between being in Group D last year vs. A this year...besides the mental work break.

I don't expect to hear any tidbit of useful real Dark Lord Day information till the month of, heck none of us even physically have our tickets yet unless for some reason you expedited it...I'd think they ship in the next week or two.

Not even sure that's true. I expedited mine last year and they came after most people who chose regular shipping option received theirs. This year I went with standard regular shipping.

I heard a rumor on reddit that this year's BA vanilla frosting was infected...

Stan's loaded ones are 3.60 each. Stan's is also one of the places that serve those ridiculous ones people post and talk about.

Those "pockets" aren't real donuts. That's like a pastry. I get it though, I don't really eat donuts for breakfast or anything. I typically view those "gourmet" donuts like I look at fancy cupcakes that people go to sprinkles and pay 4-5 bucks for.

But then again, I am more of an old fashioned/ yeast ring donut type of guy so I really don't pay more than 3 dollars a donut. I go to the places in the suburbs like a Munster donuts and enjoy those the same. No one is going to pay for a 3 dollar donut in Munster and honestly with the type of fancy sweets in america these days, they are priced appropriately here in Chicago.

Who cares about donuts? It's all about the tote bag the donuts are served in...

They're not all gonna be for me!

And in my defense, 1 White Castle slider would have me blowing up the John all day.

While White Castle, big stouts, and wild ales didn't make for a pleasant Sunday last year , I did make it through DLD without any explosions. But it sounds like I may be pressing my luck.

You guys. Just buy a six pack of Cliff Bars. For real. You aren't going to give a shit what anything tastes like (and the chocolate flavor pair well with stouts anyways). You want something immediate and filling. You also wont care if they get smashed up in your bag.
