So if you haven't had this new beer yet, you don't want to miss it. DANK! Super badass hoppy. If we are doing all our comparisons to cowiche, i'd say it trumps it soundly. Might even put it in top 5 hoppy beers I've ever had! Bottled Sept 29th according to the box. Thoughts?

I will be looking for this tomorrow. Saturday is like a competition to bring the best ipa.

My thoughts? Where can I get some? Tap only? It hasn't been reviewed here yet. (And no, a thread praising a beer doesn't qualify as a review)
Gonna go open another Cowiche right now.

I tried Old Schoolhouse IPAs when they were first distributed in bottles and was not impressed at all. I gave them another shot this summer, given them the benefit of the doubt as a new brewery, and again I was underwhelmed. So, if I've not really liked what I've had before, would the fresh hop be any different?

That all depends on your preference I guess. Ruud IPA and the dipa are better then pretty much anything else hoppy from WA so perhaps you like your hops the way I do(alpine, kern river, hopslam, abrasive, heady and dreadnaught). If that is the case, I understand the underwhelming. However, the fresh hop for what it is, I feel like it really stands up to the mainstream ipas out there. Where did you purchase your osh beers? That could also be indicative.

I heartily disagree that OSH puts out better IPAs and DIPAs then "pretty much anything hoppy from WA."

I'm just not a fan of most hoppy beers from WA. Black raven is solid, I'll give a nod to Fremont and boundary bay but beyond that? Not a ton else.

Two points: (1) I buy almost all of my bottles at Bottleworks. (2) I bought a bottle of OSH Fresh Hop today based almost entirely on this thread. Dan, you should ask OSH for a percentage of sales, that is, if you're not already getting one.

I will let you know what I think.
