I can't wait to try Julian. I only like Hoppy beers these days and have had 90+ Cellarmaker Pales and IPAs. This and Greene Technology are the two I regret missing the most, so I'm excited it's coming back.

Question, you're sure the bubblegum is from the NE yeast rather than the Galaxy hops?

Pretty sure that's the case. I've had many Cellarmaker beers, including Moonage Daydream (their Galaxy hopped pale) and Double Moonage (their Galaxy hopped DIPA) and many more where Galaxy is part of the hop bill.

Juice Gymnastics is the only beer of theirs that I get the bubblegum yeast. Not surprising, since it Other Half / Trillium were involved.

That's very interesting, thanks for those observations. I'll need to pay closer attention to the yeast strains in beers where I notice the strong bubblegum attributes, particularly those involving Galaxy. As I've noticed that attribute in Galaxy dominated/single-hop beers from other brewers. Cheers

I had my last bottle last week but I didn't think the bitterness was that intense. More noticeable than previous bottles? Definitely yes and I do agree that everyone should drink it sooner rather than later.

Stopped by Cellarmaker today after some errands. Enjoyed Wicked Juicy but I was really impressed by Breakhart. Such a wonderful aroma to that beer. If I didn't already have so much IPA in the fridge, I would have filled my 1L growler with it. Opted for Imp C&C instead. Looking forward to Orange Julian and Double Dobis once they go on.

    Based on their website...

Orange Julian, Double Dobis, Mo' Nelson all land today, and are growlerable.

Drinking my Orange Julian growler right now. About 40 ounces in, and it's everything I hoped it would be after I missed it the first time around.

It's good but... This batch is much more rind/pith than the first time. Still an explosion of flavor though. I like current Wicked Juicy more.

I actually rated the first batch a perfect Untappd 5, which is the only IPA I have that to. This one I'd rate a 4 due to the strong bitterness. I actually tired of it halfway through my pint.

Does anyone else find the aroma and flavor of Wicked Juicy to be a bit muted? I definitely get the Simcoe/Citra/Galaxy contributions, but they really don't pop out of the glass nearly as much as I'd expect for a 7% IPA; to me, it drinks closer to 5.5-6%. That being said, I find the mouthfeel super soft and creamy, and the relative "lightness" of the flavor makes it super crushable.

No more growler fills available for Julian. That was about as fast as last time.

    Breakheart>Mo Nelson.

Breakheart tastes like a pile of dirty wet socks that have been sitting in the sun on a humid day. Love that note.

    OJ was better than DD.

I was getting a lot of wet socks from the single bottle of Wicked Juicy I drank.

Orange Julian is tasting really good. Wish I didn't miss out on growler fills. Double Dobis is better than the previous batch.
