I just picked some up today, but will not drink one until tomorrow. What did you think? Is it still hazy?

Haha...same here. Just picked it up today but haven't tried it yet. Might crack one for the Pirates game tonight. Will report back if I do.

Curious if anyone is detecting a popcorn taste in the latest 3/30 version of SW (diacetyl?)?

I'm not getting popcorn. Pretty spot on to past versions IMO.

Appreciate the impartial feedback. Impartial in that the better 1/2 and I have hauntingly similar palates and we both came up with the same description. Kind of a goofy write your overall thoughts down quirk devised so I can get feedback on my HB. Just a sanity check...

Great Citrus aroma....back on point! Had the last batch in mid Feb and thought it was not up to par. Bought a single, now I have to go back and buy a sixer!

I picked up a sixer tonight and can confirm that's it's back to its former glory. I really wouldn't say it's hazy (never thought it was), but it packs a massive, juicy tropical/citrus fruit punch. Bitterness is ethereal, abv is masked, and mouthfeel is really pleasant. I'm going to try to track down another sixer tomorrow.

I think there was one batch that was a little more so than normal, but yeah I agree it's not really what I think of as "hazy." Even in the pic posted above it doesn't really look hazy to me. Maybe not as clear as some IPA's, but definitely looks more like beer than orange juice.

Glad to hear it's tasting great, although Surf Wax was the one of Burial's hoppy canned offerings that I thought never really had a bad batch anyway. It might have been a little different each time, but was always good.

Certainly is not hazy. Looks like any old west coast IPA. Y'all get caught up in the hazy IPA shit and forget what it tastes like...a damn fine dank west coast IPA.

It has been hazy before, but the name alone should imply that it's meant to be more of a west coast style. Although something of a hybrid is definitely fine with me.

I agree that the 3-30 batch has a bit more special

Four saints Bandwagon is pretty solid. Lacking in mouth feel and "juice bomb" characteristics of the top dogs. But I thought it was a solid effort

Where did some of you hear that Surf Wax's hop profile keeps changing? I always figured it was the same since they started canning it and I don't even recall what hops they used before canning.

I don't think the actual hop varieties they use in it have changed since they've been canning it. But the look and taste of it has changed a little from batch to batch, I think that's all most are saying here.

It was either 100% Nelson or majority Nelson when originally debuted in the taproom. Although I would assume they brewed a couple batches of the current recipe (Mosaic/Citra/Centennial/Columbus) before canning a batch.

Amarillo Ceremonial is really good. Best batch of that in a while I'd say.
