    Well you were half right. Texas was FAR from "way ahead"(2 games ahead of the A's with 3 games to play). But the way they were playing(slumping bats), and a hot as hell Oakland team, it was a perfect scenario for a big time let down(getting swept by the A's). Last nights game against the O's was frustratingly predictable.

    There's been a recent trend where "Hot Teams" going into the playoffs seem to win championships, and the A's are definately that team this year. I'll be rooting for them...

    WSH (AutumnBeerLove) leads the NLDS 1-0 over STL (homebrew311)
    ATL (bigfnjoe) is out

    NYY (DSlim71) leads the ALDS 1-0 over BAL (pitasoup)
    DET (beerboy9960) leads the ALDS 2-0 over OAK (coppcw08)
    TEX (raffy313) is out

    and then there were eight.

    Reds are far and away the best team left playing. The way they systematically destroyed the Giants over the last two nights was just frightening.
