FWIW, Lucky Baldwin's always has the sanest PtY pourings I've been to in L.A. There's one tomorrow in Old Town, one Sunday at Trappiste, and one next Saturday (the 11th) in Sierra Madre.

 

Does anyone know if the King Harbor Waterfront Tasting Room allows young ones?

 

Anyone make it/plan on making it to the PtY pouring at Lucky Baldwin's today?

Just got back into town and was considering going, but ticket sales started at 11 (and pourings started at 1), so I'm wondering if it's still worth going.

 

stoked on Fremont coming here just because I love Fremont. we may be oversaturated but I can live with it

Best steakhouse with good craft in OC?

 

Also Seal Beach BW had Hop Nookie on over the weekend, might still be there tomorrow, as well as Pole Position, the annual release due to grand prix.

 

I refuse to be content with this until we see Citra tapped in places down here.

 

My personal best food+beverage combo is the steak & cab (preferably filet mignon with a napa or paso robles). Sushi and sake is a very close 2nd. And then it's wings and an IPA.

So steak and beer doesn't sound appealing to me at all. I'm genuinely curious what you've experienced before that's making you seek this out. If I attempted to make this happen, my first look would be the Catch in Anaheim.

 

Nothing, I was asking for an officemate.

But I would dig a pale ale and sushi...

 

This place is underrated

 

agreed, always a solid taplist and the loco moco is a great value

 

4.38 here on BA is a pretty good rating.

 

i see no reason whatsoever why beer wouldn't go well with steak. it bums me out too when i go to a nice restaurant - including a steakhouse - and they offer an extensive wine list and then bud light. LA has tons of restaurants with good beer now, fortunately, but many of the old school and regional-cuisine places are behind the times
