Singlecut Beersmiths (April 2017)

I could see the argument its in line with Grimm IPA's, since they are often single can, and at the $6-$8 dollar range in most NYC shops, but don't most OH 4 pks top out at $20? seems Singlecut best price for a bottle I've seen is $6.99, and $23-$24 per 4pk.

 

Unless it's a recent thing, they definitely don't use a counter pressure system. They also used to sell the 2L flip top growlers, so I'm pretty sure someone just copied the OH info and pastes it here.

 

They are releasing a new beer this Wednesday, Tell Shaky and Boxcar Joe, which is a DDH DIPA at 9% abv.

 

Also, BonBon version is new given it is DDH

 

Wednesday at 6pm we’ll be releasing new TELL SHAKY AND BOXCAR JOE, a 9% IIPA that is astonishingly smooth, and honestly can only be described flavor and aroma-wise as a bong hit in a can. We’ll also be re-releasing BON BON 2xTNT IIPA. Now can we trust you with a secret regarding this batch of BON BON? – We changed things up a bit from previous versions and double dry-hopped it with Aussie and NZ hop wonderfulness. However since we already had the labels printed, that info isn’t indicated, and given that, these cans will be priced as a single dry-hopped brew. SHHHHHH – In the vault people! These brews will also be on tap starting Wednesday.

These will see distro to most markets, but may be limited.

 

Drinking a Tell Shaky and Boxcar Joe. Really good.

 

I thought the new version of Bon Bon was drinking really nice - has more haze than the last batch... Tell Shaky and Boxcar Joe is solid too, but I'm personally not a huge fan of the dank/pine/resin profile... But they pull it off.

Also, FYI - they still have 4 packs of Full Stack.

 

Can anyone point me in the direction for where cans are being sold close to Pt Pleasant in NJ?

 

So far it looks like all this "area" has gotten is DARL in bottle format. I've yet to see anything in cans from Singlecut around here.

 

Anything even within 45 min? I work more North.

 

I'm in Monmouth and so far it's all I've seen. As far as NNJ is concerned, not sure what Singlecut has been sending over there.

 

Beer Table is the worst. I'm headed upstate so I was going through grand central and there was a line out the door. They want $12 a can and people are paying it. Unbelievable.

 

Canals Woodbridge had Half Stack growler fills last week. I got one, because that beer is awesome.

 

Anyone know if these new cans will hit any of the NYC Whole Foods?

 

My understanding is that at some point all hoppy beer will be canned, and all existing distro will then get said cans.

Just picked up Tell Shaky yesterday, and I think they had everything available. Tell Shaky is pretty excellent.

 

NJ hasn't seen any four packs yet, right?
