    FYI since someone asked about it, they sold out of Reciprocal cans at about 1:30 today... I just missed it :grimacing:

    They've been selling out around 1 or 2. Best bet is to get there around 10:15-10:30. I wouldn't recommend getting there before 9:30 unless you want to wait needlessly.

    As an out of towner, I kind of like to wait needlessly. Any food around Bissell you'd recommend? Or anything specific to Maine?

    Can't go wrong with anything in downtown Portland for food. Hot spots are central provisions and evo for high scale food. Duckfat and Nosh are good for casual food. As far as things to do, downtown Portland's got a ton of shopping and is just cool to walk around. Otherwise, I'd recommend Portland head light, cool spot to check out, although a little drive from Portland. Have a good trip!

    I find this weirdly disorienting. I'm old enough to remember when there was nothing to do in Portand but count train cars and gag on fermented paper pulp fumes. What a turnaround.

    I highly recommend Liquid Riot Brewing and Foul Mouthed Bewing as lunch stops. They both brew decent beer and make great food. Bissell has food truck most days and a fried chicken place with an order window in Bissells taproom. They also typically have donuts and coffee for the early line.

    If you're looking to get food before Bissell opens in the morning, I highly recommend heading to downtown Portland to Tandem Bakery for some bakery items/breakfast sandwiches, Holy Donut for donuts (this is a must stop at some point for donuts if you've never been), Standard Bakery, and/or Gorgeous Gelato for their cannolis (these sell out fast as the day goes on).

    Personally I'd definitely try to hit up Tandem and/or Holy Donut...Tandem has the advantage of having both savory and sweet items, although Holy Donut also has some amazing bacon/cheese filled donut-types that they do as well. If you head to Holy Donut, it's a very short walk to Bard Coffee too, which I highly recommend if you're into gourmet coffee.

    Good luck, and I might see you at Bissell if I make good time on my way up to Kittery!

    Well, this is one out of towner who definitely doesn't like to wait needlessly. The wife and I stopped by for the release yesterday a bit after 12:30, and we were impressed by what we saw.

    I had hoped to completely avoid any line by arriving 30 to 45 minutes after opening bell, but it turns out we got to the brewery probably a half hour too early. Even so, it took no more than 10 to 15 minutes to get to the bar area, that's how quick and efficient the staff were. We grabbed our 4 packs and 5 ounce sample glasses, and by the time we left, (around 1:15 would be my guess), there was no line whatsoever (they still had cans for sale, though I assume they ran out fairly soon after that).

    The IPA's we tried were all very, very good. However, there is no way I would wait in line for 3 or 4 hours to get them. Life's too short, and there's plenty of other good beer available, to justify that kind of wait. IMHO of course. (for that matter, the substance IPA is pretty much all over town in Portland).

    Strong second for Tandem and Holy Donut. My brother-in-law lives walking distance to both and that is a very good thing!

    I made the drive up from MA and made it to the front of the line around 11 and they sold the last four pack to so someone four people ahead of me. They sold 340 cases in an hour...At least I was able to finally try swish since they had it on tap but still disappointing.

    I know Swish goes on hiatus over the summer. Does Reciprocal as well, or do they brew that throughout the summer?
