Same day as The Bruery's anniversary party. :slight_frown:

Hope there's some Bourbon OE left on Sunday.

The days of Smog beer in bottles selling out first weekend are over I think. Infinite Wishes is still available. And the last batch of Bourbon OE was around for quite some time. 10+ months I think.

Agree those days are over, but that's far from a bad thing. They're still super successful and consistent. Loved Ch'nooks last time around, so looking forward to grabbing again (though that one probably has the lowest likelihood to stick around past May 6).

Oh yeah. Not a bad thing at all. I was just trying to reassure my brethren up there that the beer will probably be there the next day.

^ definitely better than the updated labels for Snuggle/Cuddle and the Kumquat Saison.

I know a few others have answered this, but I'll chime in also. I was very disappointed.
I went on Friday and had a taster each of the regular and the coconut. I got little to no barrel out of either and I couldn't tell the difference between the regular and coconut. Smog doesn't miss for me very often but this one was. Oh well, more money to spend on BOE.

I went on 4/2 and tried the bourbon coffee on nitro, the regular, and the coconut. All three were quite distinct, imo. The beertender even got the nitro and regular mixed up but I was able to tell which was which (mostly because nitro beers suck--3.5 rating for me). I enjoyed the regular bourbon coffee (4.25) and LOVED the coconut version (4.5).

The regular had a great coffee nose, bitter coffee grounds flavor, the bourbon was not too hot or overpowering--I really liked it.

The coconut was apparent on the nose and added a nice touch of sweetness. I'd easily max out on it if they'd bottled this version.

Brought home a bottle of the regular. Haven't opened it yet. Hoping it's just as good out of the bottle. Cheers!

I also found myself disappointed with the BA Coffee Porter. I personally don't drink coffee, can't stand the taste, but oddly find myself universally loving BA/non-BA Coffee stouts and porters (i don't really understand it either). But for me, this beer was like drinking straight black coffee, I could hardly taste the beer, certainly very little barrel, and couldn't finish my pour. Way too overpowering coffee-wise. Smog is still one of my favorites, and IW is one of the most underrated beers in CA, but this one was a big miss for me.

Haha I actually came on here to say I finally got around to trying BA Coffee Porter and liked it a lot! It could have definitely used more barrel character, but the body was velvety and the little hit of bourbon sweetness made it very drinkable.

Girl and I loved it. That coffee sweetness profile reminded me so much of HF genealogy. Very little barrel but nonetheless, I would clear the shelves if they bottled this.

Tried the 630 to Yakima the other day and really enjoyed it...nice pale ale with a solid malt backbone but not littered with too much bullshit crystal malt. It wasn't anything mindblowing, but it was something I could see myself drink several of

Who's going to the anniversary party on 5/20? Paying for VIP?

I'll be heading down there but not until late. Spring soccer games meant no VIP and to go mid day would be insane.
We are planning on heading down 8ish.
We've done that in the past and the crowd has died down considerably by then.
