I will be in Georgia in Early to mid may. I was wondering if anyone knew the probability of Mexican Cake, Keylike Gose, and any of the Weise Weiss baby'S being available then.

Also, is Mexican Cake considered a limited release? I figured, with how popular but not to my knowledge "rare" that it probably sits around for a few weeks once released before being all gone.

Is it gone on release day typically then? If so, pretty sure I will end up missing this :/.

There's no guarantee from year to year but it lasted a few days last year.

Thanks. Westbrook doesn't even come to my area, and when I am in AL (one of the places I travel once or twice a year), they either have nothing, or the panther. So getting this would be a real treat! Now if I can only time it just right, I'll be real happy and feel very fortunate. I can't try any of the Imperial Biscotti Cake Break or the ET variants since I am allergic to nuts, so it would be nice to try just the Mexican Cake. *Fingers crossed*

Not around Raleigh. It sells out in 15 minutes when it drops here. That or the shops hold a lottery for the 6 to 12 bottles they get.

I'm guessing the answer is no, but has Westbrook given any indication of when it will be available. My in laws live in Myrtle Beach and I'm visiting in June - last year he was able to grab me a bottle that I greatly enjoyed with him while I was down there on vacation and hoping to do the same this year.

There's your "problem" right there. The individual vs the organization. The brewer, yes they can have a sense of craftsmanship. The football player: hometown pride, or a doctor: wants to help people. The organization needs to stay in business, it's all about the numbers. You don't let someone steal from your grocery store because they are hungry and don't have food. You run a successful business (or life) and donate to help them, but you don't stay in business giving things away.

As for this beer, good for them. Now if someone wants this beer, they can plop down $200 and get a perfect example straight from the cellar. These resale sites are lame, the beer is not guaranteed to be what it says it is, could get damaged in transit, etc. For anyone who isn't going to buy their stuff now, great, thanks for sharing, no one cares. Westbrook can continue to expand to new markets like VA and DC and sell all of the beer they make easily.

My folks are golfing in Myrtle Beach right now. Any good spots that I could have them pick up some Westbrook gose for me?

You just compared charging $200 for a bottle of beer to giving away food to people who are hungry. Lol. And in the same paragraph you implied that the brewery needs to charge $200 for a bottle of beer to stay in business. Lol. Lol.

C'mon brah, all those doses seem to have affected your reading comprehension! $200 is mad profitz on the .rar, no doubt about it. I think Westbrook might as well make a batch with however many barrels they can obtain, then sell them all orderly like from the bar @ $200/22oz as well as use them for charity auctions/beer festivals/maybe the employees want to trade 'em...

What's the alternative if they brew this beer: $30/22oz, lines/limits/raffle/shitlordz/muling/"bad vibes" in general ... and they still end up on FB and those stupid sites at $200-500, with Westbrook only netting $30-cogs. Charleston as you know is a big vacation spot, I'm sur they get well above average visitors to town who feel that's not too bad to enjoy a crazy .rar beer. $200 at a restaurant gets you a pretty basic bottle of champagne, which in a town like that is nbd for many people who vacation there. Not a great deal for the people who live and work there, if you are indeed in that group, I hear you.

$200 gets you a basic champagne? Hmmm...news to me. But I bet if you went to the source $200 would get you a case of some of the finest champagne on the planet.

Side Project sells their Derivations between $45 and $65...and they last a few weeks. $200 for a bottle of beer at the source is asinine! If you think that $200 is a good price for a bottle of beer and makes sense, then I have quite a few I can send you.

Lastly, Westbrook is likely selling less than 5 a week. If they were priced at $75, they'd be selling 50 a week and would still have some. They can do whatever they want with their beer, but they have lost a lot of the locals (which may end up biting them in the ass, may not). Beer has jumped the shark, and this is a glaring example!

I am pretty blown away by how good this newest batch of Two Claw is. Probably the best IPA Westbrook has done (definitely the best ever packaged). It had been good before, but is currently great.

Anyone agree or think I'm crazy?

not at all. I'm not much of a IPA guy but these doubles with the citrus heavy finish I'm totally digging.

I agree. Had it a month or so ago at the tap room and it was great. Definitely the best IPA they have made (though Shane's DIPA was awesome as well). Havent had it in cans in a while though.

Their best best IPA was that Nelson hopped IPA they did last May.
