I spent 3 months in Chicago Heights. Define "matter."

Looks like tix are still available. 400 is not a lot of tickets, with a few tweaks they could have sold these out easily. Add BA maple hunter and BA vanilla hunter. Allow someone to purchase 2 tix.

Well Chicago Heights is not a neighborhood in Chicago, it is a burb.

Pretty sure that the brewery itself doesn't care if the tickets sell out the day that they are released or the day of the event. They'll sell out, I'm sure.

Looks like the event strategy this year is - come for the reasonably priced event, captured audience hopefully takes home the over priced (imo) bottles. Well, seems on par for 18th St. At least the bottle prices are not bundled into the ticket price and people are free to purchase or not, but still they seem high. The prices too.

Why the need for 2x tickets when the other person can just purchase their own right now? I personally like the 1x approach as it cuts down on unscrupulous resellers.

I'm curious why the BA bank vintage 2016 is $5 cheaper. Seems like an odd way to "reward" customers. Seems more like a strategy (either people will buy it because it is cheaper, or people won't buy it because they think there is something wrong, hence the cheaper tag.

I believe 2016 format was 12oz bottles so no rewards being given out there.

I hope the vintage BA Bank cellared better than the 2015 BA Hunter which turned into a sour mess for the sake of those purchasing it.

I should have taken that bet.

Zima! Yeah - I was off on my estimates of market demand.

I figured you had some inside info which is why I wouldn't take the bet. Perhaps we can settle this with Hunter aged in 90's Zima bottles.

It took some clicking but I found the page that they had last year that shows how many have sold...the info seems a little off, but as far as I can tell it's somewhere between 189-197.

I think you're a tough off on that statement. DLD sees approx 10,000 people a year. 18th street barrel massacre sees about...what...400?

The fact that so many people came from out of town to that area helped them sell tickets to the event.

I'd also like to point out if I'm a brewery and I see 18th Street having difficulty selling out 400 tickets to a reasonably priced event, I'm starting to worry about a bubble.

In the first year, between the hunters and various IPAs, things were new. 18th Street has done little to maintain any buzz. Its hard to discern what there priorities are beyond making money for trips to Denmark.
