Draft or cans? I would expect draft to last a at least a few days if not longer and at that price for a 4 pk I don't people maxing out their allotment or it flying out the door. The typically have enough kegged that you can often find it still on draft a week or two later. Even after cans have sold you could still grab a Crowler at the Foushee location.

Line down to the parking lot (probably 20-30 people) at opening from a post I saw. Might move quicker than I was thinking but I'm betting this is likel a quick rush of people running by on their lunch breaks.

$22 is high, but they released this in crowlers for $17 a pop back in January. Black Dolphin was $20 per 4 pack, for some reason they price stouts high.

$22 for 64oz of stout is to bad.
If they did 22 oz bottled they'd sell for around $20. Cans really make things weird.

Side note I met your governor in there pretty nice dude. Very touchy but a nice guy to have a beer with.

$15 and up seems to have become the norm around Richmond for a 16 Oz 4 pack, between triple crossing and the Veil. 22 is at the top of the range though, you don't typically see cans going for draft growler fill prices. At least I don't, anyway.

It's cool you got to meet the governor, it's not uncommon to see him visiting breweries around town.

FYI - Got to triple crossing at 5:45 & nectar & knife cans are gone....ugh. Maybe it's time to lower the limits.

Will confirm. I arrived around 5:30 and grabbed a couple of packs. I thought there were more cans in the back, but I was told what was out on the floor was the last of it.

I really think the timing was just right for this to happen, as a really popular beer with the locals was being released a day before a large event at The Veil (bringing many people from out of town). The good thing is that people can still try it on tap this weekend.

It was selling fast. While I was there most everyone who was buying cans was getting at least half a case. I saw one guy leaving with three cases, I assume he had some friends join him to get their allotments, too.

This would have been gone by three if they had gone with their original 2 case limit. Triple Crossing seems to be getting a lot attention recently, finally, for the good beer they put out. I am sure their winning the best brewery in Richmond award didn't hurt in the public awareness department. The weekend influx of Veil visitors didn't hurt either.

I showed up around 5:30 (thanks to two speeding tickets) and got 2 of the last 4-packs they had in the cooler. We were actually thinking we would miss Far From Dawn cans but those were still available when we left around 6:30.

Also, Nectar & Knife was my favorite IPA I had while in Richmond.

Any chance for cans this week or would there have been notice already? Didn't see any available cans listed on their website. Saw a few crowlers available as of today.

If they happen to not have cans then swing by the Downtown (Foushee) location. They should Crowler any beer that's on tap.

Post made by TCB last night. For the short term, no more Crowlers/growlers of N&K or Far From Dawn until they can replenish beer to supply both taproom. I do wonder if this applies to other beers as well. I would say that's a high class problem to have in any case. Congrats on the big success since people are finally catching on to how good TCB beers are. One thing I think TCB will do for future releases is no more of the 1-2 case limits as we have seen in the past. Keep it a more realistic 2-3 4pks/pp IMO

You guys, our favorite people ever, may have noticed lately that we’ve had less than an ideal supply of certain beers. Even the beer that our Fulton location was built on - Falcon Smash IPA. How? Didn’t you guys open that huge new production facility? Well yeah.. but like anything else in life, its complicated and driven by many variables.

To put it simply, all the outpouring of love we have experienced has literally overwhelmed our beer making capacity across the board. This includes draft beer to our favorite retail accounts and beer for onsite tasting room which contains packaged/crowler/growler fills as well. We could not be happier or prouder to have this “great problem to have” but it is an issue.

So, as of the release of Nectar and Knife DIPA and Far From Dawn RIS, we’ve declined to allow those two beers to be taken from the brewery. All of which is and has been communicated on our website. The reason for this is simple, we need to be able to supply both of our tasting rooms with beers that we literally cannot make enough of. We aren’t thrilled that after cans sold out, we had to place this restriction since we have offered growler/crowler fills since the beginning. The need to keep our tasting rooms flowing with beer is entirely too important to us and is at the core of why opened the brewery to begin with.

How are we addressing this situation? We’re ordering more equipment, installing/upgrading what we thought was adequate infrastructure, and most importantly we’ve hired some great people to help with beer making and serving. Also, you will notice an increase in experimental 7bbl batches brewed Downtown with a slight (for now anyway) emphasis on session strength styles and iterations with a deeply seated focus on overall drinkability – UK session ales, pale low abv lagers, etc. Expect at some point in the future to see the first offerings from our mixed culture fermentation program. We’re making more beer, but we will never rush into anything.

Each day we are blown away at the amount of support we’ve received from all of you. Without that support, none of what we get to do every day would be possible.

From the entire team, thank you.

    TCB
