I wish I had taken a picture. I'd love to say cases but I couldn't even give you an estimate.

Maybe someone visiting on Thursday can give you a better update upon opening.

I think you need to look up the definition of complaint. When the bottles released post lottery, yeah, it stung a bit being left out which I think most would agree. Ideas were tossed around in here, not by me, to allot certain percentage to locals. It was never clear how Kane would release what wasn't claimed. Fast forward to a weekend where I just so happened to be going there and things became clearer. They had a lot of the variants outside of the Rye that they kept around seemingly to take care of locals. I think that's vastly different than what's been done in the past and each comment mutually exclusive to the time frame for which it was given.

Maybe that feeling is when someone tries to warp perceptions and be a dick just because.

Yep, didnt mean to make a big deal about it

Not one to complain, shit I still have infected BCBS from last year and didn't seek refunds

    It's just beer after all

I only posted in reply to someone else mentioning their oxidation issue and figured folks might want to know there are bad bottles out there

All this Fifth and ANTEAD talk makes me want to go home and drink one now. Reading untapped tags and some people saying the coconut is a bit weak and the vanilla somewhat too. Maybe I should drink my coconut

I'm still debating when I want to open my second Fifth

This discussion is as good a reason as any to make me open the bottle of 5th I've been saving for I don't know what.

Curious, why do you guys think the new batch of Party Wave was canned on 4/7 and not released until 4/15? I know it's always a Saturday release (except for the last PW release on the Sunday because of the snow). Think they didn't release it on 4/8 because of the ANTEAD lottery pick ups being that day?

Maybe that, maybe the don't like selling beers right away after they have been canned.

Might be me but I thought the last batch of party wave was better than this one. Still great tho but this batch of wind swell is definitely better than I remember. Again, could just be me.

I definitely think they purposely didn't release it on ANTEAD day. Why should they bother? That's already a yuge production. Additionally, perhaps the canning run needed to be split across 2 days (for Wind Swell) and they want to release them in groups of 2? IDK just making it up as I go

I didn't like Wind Swell as much of the tap when it first came out, but the cans have changed my mind as I am liking it a lot now.

I've only had 1 Party Wave can from this batch but I think it holds up to the previous. Party Wave really blew me away as I was just there after work the day that was first tapped and I got one and was like oh damn this is amazing!

Had coconut on Saturday thought it was great. Thought it was as good as or better than last year's.

I also think they waited to release Party Wave as a nod to locals. But just a guess

@glennl is there any chance we'll see sneakbox available in kegs like overheard/head high since its becoming a more regular offering?

On a related note any idea as to turnover rate on head high pub kegs that are set aside for individual purchase? They are not dated and my latest doesn't taste as fresh as usual. I know these are different from the kegs that go out to retail accounts (which are standard metal kegs). Cyrious whether this has been sitting for a bit

Not sure if you got your Wind Swell cans but I was there at 1pm this afternoon and they had both Party Wave and Wind Swell cans left.

It's a good question, we've had trouble keeping sneakbox in stock the last few months, so it hasnt really been on the table. But now that the whirlpool is up and running output has increased as we can brew more batches per day so we seem to be in better shape. However I think pub kegs come after wholesale draft, cans, tasting room draft, and growlers on the priority list so we'll see.

Head High pub kegs are pretty much filled before each weekend's tasting room hours so they're always very fresh. If you think there's an issue with your keg contact the retail crew at the brewery.
