I heard it isn't there, but if you ask nicely, they may have another behind the counter.

Just grabbed a 4pk of Stratus at the Mokena Binny's.

Edit* I realize I could just go to Hailstorm because it's so close, but I literally live across the street from Binny's and I'm lazy.

I like it but I'm getting a lot of white grape. Maybe my taste buds aren't awake yet.

Fucking hell. I was taking a break from beer to drop a few pounds until DLD. Today I bought a 4 pack of stratus, two Hubbard's Cave, a juice pants and two Hazel's Nuts. I need to stay off the forums.

I wanted to call bullshit on this idea that these hyped, trademark breweries were producing malt bombs... then tonight at dinner I popped open a Pipeworks NvU, dated 3/30, and ... instead I find myself agreeing... though there are exceptions. I am a huge, huge fan of Tuna right now for some reason.

Currently drinking a crowler of Squeezit from Corridor. It's phenomenal. Better than most Mikerphone's I've had. They've definitely upped their game.

Shit. I have a soft spot for Corridor. It's another NE IPA of theirs?

Yep NE DIPA w/ Mosaic and Citra. They got a new head brewer and this is his first. Really solid. Pale, tons of haze, a nice alcohol bite, and huge fruity aroma/flavor.

So, can anyone here reasonably tell me what "haze" tastes like?

Does more haze taste better than less haze?

Reading through 90 pages, and I'm not certain that it's been addressed.

    Asking for a friend.

I assume you're taking the piss, but I'll actually give a serious answer.

It's not unlike an album cover. Let's say you take a great jazz album. You could house it in a classic cover with a great photo of the band playing together, OR you could have a badly photo-shopped picture of a turd.

It doesn't affect the music within, but it certainly could affect your enjoyment of said album.

A New England IPA would taste just as good if it were somehow clear, but it could take away from the overall experience.

I think it all comes down to individual opinion/taste. I hear those examples and don't think it's any reason to enjoy the album or beer any less. I'm not saying your opinion/taste is wrong, but there are definitely those of us that really don't care if the album cover is poop or if the beer isn't hazy. There are so many different tastes & opinions...as long as we try to respect each others, it's all good.

Honestly, I'm not as high on NE IPAs as some on this thread (I do really like them), but I will be the first to admit I've ALWAYS loved their look. Just like I prefer a pitch black stout, I like the look of a really opaque IPA.

@dwduncan2 citra + mosaic is my kryptonite. Hope it holds till Sunday.

I totally get where you're coming from.

I'm a vinyl freak, and a big reason why is that 12"x12" cover...but I respect someone who only streams music but geeks out just as hard as I do.

I was just honestly trying to explain why some folks like the haze...
