Good morning all. A 12% beer because I have about 12% of my energy right now.

Haven't had a morning beer post-workout in a while. I forgot how much I love it.

I've had my morning coffee. Looking for something with a little more "oomph" before I get started on my to-do list.

As it was so aptly put yesterday: breakfast with the baby. Cheers!

Good Morning BA, I start nightshifts tonight and wasn't feeling "real" productive this morning. Then I was inspired to be "beer" productive. This is the Maibock side by side I had wanted to do earlier this month.

I will say both TJ beers are BB July and the Feldschlößchen has a more optimistic date of April 2018. TJ 12oz beers were $1.17 and Feldschlößchen was $1.25 per 500mL can. All three beers are between 7 and 7.3% ABV.
You can see the color difference from the picture. The spring prost wins aroma with both malt and hop readily on display. The spring prost also tastes the best with rich malt and spicy and floral hops coming through. Mouthfeel is too close to call. My preference of the three is the spring prost but I like them all. I don't want to fill up page one all by myself, so reviews are in for the TJ beers and I'll probably review the Feldschlößchen after work tomorrow morning when I have it by itself. If there were an @bockhunter, I believe his response to this morning's festivities would be GRROOOOßßß. Drink well today Advocates.

Cheers you all. These are my baguettes that I started yesterday. I made them the old fashioned way and I drank this beer while I waited. A 14 hour starter, 2 deflations , 3 hours rising time and 1/2 hour to proof on the pan. The result was a texture you can't ignore. To make the crunchy crust I sprayed mine with warm water before I baked them. The only thing I do not seem to be able to get the hang of - is slashing the bread before baking. I tried my chef's knife and a box cutter. No slashes. What am I doing wrong?

This Genesee Bock is no longer fresh enough to buy another case. I would say it held up well. If they bottled in December, I drank it up until today.

Was thinking about getting some work done outside and then snow happened.... Now I have resorted to morning beer! Kern River Long Swim DIPA. Has a bit of a sulfer/skunky lager like aftertaste. It's 2 months old.

    Cheers BAs
