Last year there was a Hill Farmstead that blew just before I got to the taps. I almost shanked the guy in front of me - it's dawg eat dawg at DLD, yo.

It's all about timing - but that said, last year I did think the guest taps took a step down from the year before.

Yes! I was with another BA buddy ( @kdawgmoney )…. I think we ended up getting either Bourbon BA Plead the 5th or Boneyard Notorious TIPA instead.

 

After reading through the past five or so pages, I have to say I'm excited about these Dragon Abortion shirts...... Keeping the scene alive!

Actually, I only went to the taps one time last year as soon as we got in the south Gate. Zombie for the Mrs and an Alpha King for me.

 

I generally make camp near the guest taps, as I'm not as motivated by the BA variant quest as many are, and generally only like the bottle share while on line. I was definitely not happy with last years guest tap options.

 

On a side note, since there are a lot of us from IL in this thread... anyone going to the Chicago Beer Fest at Soldier Field the week before Dragon Abortion Day?

 

I will be working the event so it is hard for me to join in the bottle shares that day. I usually try to line up a few small trades so I can go home with some new beers to try. I would prefer to trade a couple of cans rather than bombers. I'm in the Chicago area. I will be bringing a few things to trade. So far Hailstorm Stratus, Old Nation M43 and Boxer, New Glarus Strawberry Rhubarb, and Grand Armory Nutter Your Business Stout. I also have a couple cans left of Hailstorm Cirrus and 18th Street Zero Tolerance, 18th Street The Fox and the Goat, and 18th Street Villain, 2017 KBS.
