I hope bands show up randomly. And instead of what fff thought they were getting, Stryper shows up. To Hell with the Devil ... indeed.

Figures that all hell would break loose while I'm driving home from work.

Last year's pickup process was too smooth, so they had to fuck it up.

I was surprised that it took this long to find this.

All 8,000 or however many go are not reading this or a similar thread on FB. Yes us geeks who spend more time than we probably should here, do have hard-ons to get handjees, but not everyone going to DLD cares about trade value. If I got a hj I'm drinking it with friends for sure. Believe it or not I've bet a many people do go for the bands I know a friend of mine does he likes the beer too but he would go just for the bands.
So will this create a little extra chaos, probably but I doubt it will be as bad as some people think. And the whole thing about complaining about the lines, I've had fantastic bottle shares in most lines last year. I imagine it will happen again this year, so lines aren't all that bad.
What really shocks me though is that Dragon Abortion is not on the schedule now I'm really pissed. Glad I didn't order the shirt yet.

Great, so since I'm the only one in my group in C I have to choose between not hanging out with them all day or getting a trash variant/vintage.

I hope to god this is the case, otherwise it will be a clusterfuck of people hanging around until the next group line opens.

I fear you are too optimistic. It's not just the beer nerds on here, it's the flippers and their mules. There's easily enough of those to make everyone's life miserable.

In reading the replys, I'm happy I'm one of the few who doesn't sweat as much about not getting a variant, since there's no guarantee I'm going to like whatever variant I may end up with. Sure, I'd like to have my favorites still available, but I like drinking Dark Lord regardless of whether or not it's in bourbon barrels or not. It'd be nice to have them hand out random bags, but however it works out, I'll be happy.

I mean the first few hundred in each group will go for handjee. The next hundred or two for FVM. You still have Ronaldo and Reg Bourbon for everyone in the middle.

Muerte is always solid, which leaves 2 maybe good variants.

Only the straglers will be getting vintage.

Groups C-E are no worse off, probably better.

Group B will be about the same because people already lined up early in hopes of some Handjee being left after Group A in prior years.

Group A is no longer guaranteed Handjee or FVM. Only group that should be disappointed.

Just enjoy the fest and dont fret the variant too much.
