Lol, I hope. I don't think they've ever brewed one, English or American. That whole barleywine/ strong ale/ imperial amber area has been untouched by Cellarmaker.

I think it would be cool to see a totally new beer for the next release, or one of the next releases.

Man I would love to see a Barleywine...as well as a black IPA. One thing I've learned about Cellarmaker is that if its not a style they really like, they'll never brew it...that's the response I got when I asked Tim about them making a black IPA.

Good for them. They'd probably make a fantastic one, but if you don't like the style...

Not thrilled about them releasing the same bottle they have before, but at least it will shut up the people who think the West Coast IPA isn't relevant anymore.

I'd say its disappointing because we have to wait a whole month for the next one. However, their west coast ipa's are simply the best in the style.

Excited because repeat + no haze means I can go at a reasonable time after work on Tuesday.

I want more pale ales in bottles personally.

Nah. I want more specialty/ high abv releases in bottles, and pales in growlers. Makes more sense drinking it in one sitting. And it excites me to maybe see Imp. Coffee Cigs in bottles, or Blammo in bottles, or Dank Statement or a possible Triple Dobis. IDK.

    Your logic checks out.

But what I also want are CM releases that are pretty casual in nature, and not the crapfest that was IC&C and even worse Juice Gymnastics.

I've met a lot of cool people during some of the other releases, where you're just 5 minutes in line, and then a relatively empty taproom.

If only there was some online ticket system where buyers could purchase allotments in advance, eliminating the need to queue up. If only...

Your logic checks out as well. I only live in the bay area during the summer when i'm not in school, so every release I've seen has been pretty standard. Minus Double Dobis last summer, but I got there an hour early and was like 20th in line so It didn't matter to me.

That might cause more confusion/ hassle with showing proof of sale/ card used/ identification/ proxies/ people getting turned away for not having the right documents. But I'm just speculating.

Sounds like a good idea though, just knowing you have the stuff without having to rush up there.

Would be nice, but given Cellarmaker's size, pickup window would have to be pretty small and the cost of BPT or similar platform may be cost prohibitive. Unless the in-person only sales become a total cluster, I don't think they're incentivized to do so.

If i recall correctly, the cost of BPT/EB can be passed onto the consumer. IP sales are already a cluster...Juice Gymnastics comes to mind. It's less necessary for shit like Tiny Dankster but would be welcomed for high demand stuff.

Juice Gymnastics is the exception not the rule - Wicked Juicy was mellow, Mt. Nelson was mellow, I'm sure next week is going to be the same - I would imagine it will be around into the early evening...

There is a bpt fee in the modern times sales, usually around a dollar per 4 pack. Not sure if MT also pays additional fees.

Even if the releases are mellow, it's nice to be able to buy your beer, then go pick it up whenever you want, within something like a 3 week period.

I agree there's probably not much/any motivation for the brewery to do it, but as a customer I love it.
