You mean 2017 is vintage, any bottle is vintage. Come on.

when used as an adjective vintage can mean something from the past.

What? No. Any year prior to the current is a vintage.

"The 2017 variants will be distributed evenly between groups A-E, on a first come first serve basis within each group"

Could this be read as only group B,C, and D get the variants since they are the groups between A and E?

Or if variants were evenly distributed you'd get one of each?

    Couple quick thoughts:

    1) I'm a 49ers Fan/Season Ticket holder. I was ecstatic at the trade. Then the Bears took Trabiski, I literally LOLed. Shocking.

    2) Every year past, people have complained about all the variants going first, begging for equal distribution or randomization. Now we get it and people are still complaining. Its DLD, it is what it is, get over it. If your sole goal of going is getting one specific beer, then you're doing it wrong.

    3) 3F doesn't care about you. The sooner you realize this and come to grips with it the happier you'll be.

    4) I'm curious to see what years the vintage DL would be.

    5) My list is Hanjee, Bourbon, FVM, Ronaldo, De muerte, chemtrail, vintage, stale urine, Ardbeg.

    Cheers fuckers.

In the wine world Vintage just refers to the year including the current year.

The term vintage is just used to designate a year of something, granted we usually use it in a term to mean old. This is how it works in wine, we use the term vintage to designate a year.

    How'd I miss that one?!
Correct. In the case of wine "vintage" refers to the year the wine was produced.

Fair enough. I meant the adjective vintage to describe it as prior to this year. This is why i specifically mentioned that a 2016 could be the vintage they're offering (meanwhile people could be hoping for vintage, as in 2008-2014 to choose from).

If we want to get technical it refers to the year the grapes were grown/harvested.

I'm wondering if they have just random years still in storage and they just want them gone.
There could be something like 50 from one year, 100 from another, and so on.

    My list:
    1. Marshmallow Handjee
    2. Bourbon
    3. FVM
    4. ChemTrailMix
    5. De Muerte,
    6. Ronaldo
    7. Dia Oscuro

That being said, Dia Oscuro and ChemTrailMix sound interesting and could be great.. The thing that scares me is the muscat barrels, but it'll still be hard to pass up on the vanilla, cocoa nibs, and coffee in FVM.

Surprised people are sleeping on Scotch. It is a straight whisky barrel.

That's a good question. I would hope that they have some solid vintages (@kodt , @Runofthedill ) available. My post was intended to say that FFF has people thinking things like you just mentioned but could instead bust out some 2015 and 2016 DL and be like here's your vintages to choose from.

Because I like Bourbon, American Whiskey and I hate Scotch.

I don't want my beer to taste like burnt wet dirt.

I personally don't like smokey beers, and I've heard mixed reviews on scotch barrel aged stouts. I would definitely like to try it, but Handjee & Bourbon are always tried and true greats.
