Somebody mentioned it before, you walk in, they scan ur ticket. A random number generator gives u a #, that number corresponds to a randomly filled allocation. You pick up your allocation any time u want. No lines. No cluster fucks. No fighting trying to get to the front of the line. More money spent on food and guest taps. More fun for all. Too easy I guess?

 

Ha I will trade you my ChemLawn Trail pepper puke Dark Lord Variant I am now guessing I will get stuck with for a can of something in that stash!

 

Sent a message asking for clarification and got this back:
FFF will have 8 volunteers hold up the same group letter at eight different locations around the fest starting an hour before the group's pickup starts. For each group, the volunteers will stand at a different, random location not necessarily advertising their role. Each volunteer will have a ticket for one variant and the number of tickets for that variant in the group. Fifteen minutes before the window opens, they will pass out the tickets to their respective lines. The tickets will not be marked with any information that would give the attendee any clue as to which variant line they were in. When the pickup window opens, the volunteer will stop handing out tickets regardless if they made it through their line or not. If there are more attendees in the line than tickets, they will not receive one and should have chosen a different line. The attendee will learn which variant they receive when they turn in their ticket. No one with a ticket gets vintage DL. But wait...there's only 7 variants this year. One of the volunteers will be handing out tickets for vintage DL as well. *We reserve the right to change the process at any time*

 

This sounds confusing. I don't believe it.... They clearly stated "The 2017 variants will be distributed evenly between groups A-E, on a first come first serve basis within each group."
This would contradict their own statement.

 

Ok so how the hell will that work for group A? we dont get in until 9 and bottle pick up is 9? they gonna stand outside the gates for Group A or they plan on opening early to let some group A in?

 

That seems like a horribly complicated way of doing this. Why not just go back to the lottery/scratch off system that they used to have, with the scratch off revealing which variant you receive.

I love the approach. Is this before or after the tough mudder obstacle course?

 

As the way it stand now, no one is happy. The best thing to do would be to screw group E out of variants as planned so at least groups A-D go away happy.
