Twin Elephant Brewing to open

I was really hoping to get there this evening for 32oz of each, but I don't get back from the city until after 7 and it being a bank holiday with plenty of people off. I don't think I will make an attempt, place will be packed and I am hitting up the Hackettstown 3 tomorrow.

 

been waiting for that one. also one year anniversary coming up and should be some special stuff in store...

 

Anniversary could be even more of a mad house; will the/any draft accounts make it to the 6th

 

oh I think they've been planning for it for some time, so should hopefully be well stocked... that's not to say it still won't be super busy and kick stuff before the weekend's over. I'd like to get one of those limited glasses they have coming though.

 

I want to go, but I'm afraid of how crowded it's going to get,.

 

I told my brewery venturing friend that we either need to get there for noon, or not to bother. They have a great lineup, food, and special edition glasses/shirts, this place will be nuts.

But good for them. I am really happy to have a great brewery, that does many styles well, local to me.

 

being local, I usually stop in Saturdays early to avoid the crowds... hopefully that strategy delivers next weekend too... they want to add outdoor space in a small courtyard/alley, but I don't think that's happening for a while...

 

There really isn't any space to do that where they are right now, unless they remove quite a few parking spots.

I hope they partner up further with Stirling hotel this Summer for tap takeovers in their beer garden. Same great TE in a much larger space.

 

agreed, but the space they are thinking about is between their building and the storage company next door (think to your left when you are entering the brewery - its behind a fence), so while narrow its pretty long.

 

lil shimmy ye with pineapple, mango and vanilla bean.. hmm could be interesting

anyone going to venture over on Saturday for the anniversary? I plan to, but probably no later than 2... not sure if weather will bring more people (crappy out, may as well go drink), or keep some away...

 

I'm thinking of going - if I don't jet to Kane hoping for a release - but are they doing anything special for their anniversary?

 

Something like 13 beers, pig roast, smoke meat, one time glasses and t-shirts. Don't think they are doing any new beer releases or cans/bottles, unless it wasn't announced and doing it as a surprise.

 

I'd post some photos but don't know how. But damn some good food. Sterling hotel manning the food. Awesome time.

LiL' Shimmy Ye variant is ridiculous. The mango, pineapple, and "dose" of vanilla was/is extremely well blended, permitting one to cipher through per their own enjoyment...vanilla/orange Creamsicle

Incredible feel @ soft, smooth, and fluffy. Subtle stringent burn which I dig

I've been here since 12:30 and it's basically been standing room only.

All those toddlers.

The pineapple, mango, vanilla lil shimmey works surprisingly well.

 

Standing room only kinda yes but not tight by any means and no real waiting for drinks or food, and when it's stirling hotel basicallynmaking the food it's been really good. May get worse this evening with crowds but me and my family had an awesome time.

Agree the Shimmy with pineapple mango and vanilla was very nice but for me it was a one and done as the sweetness becomes a little hard to drink in quantity but that's probably true of the style in any case. True believers was real nice too.
