Free Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus, Hanssens oude geuze 75 and Saison Dottinges but in all fairness I just brought back all my empty bottles to the drinkshop and basically got these for free.

For that price, it's almost a viable party beer. I mean, it's something like 11%...? People pay $10 for a 30 case and wake up with a full belly, and a hangover. Might as well just wake up with a hangover and an extra couple of beers for the recovery process.

New Belgium never is great to me., but the new voodoo ipa,( not pale ale, haven't had the pale yet) is outstanding. Tastes up there with Sucks and enjoy by and it's fresh all over town right now.

Also Waldo is good but way too high abv to just crack open mid day.

That beer is too sour to go bad, but $5 for any bomber is a great price.

It's a huge annual swingers festival here in the big apple

And I was just coming on here to say I live in NYC and there are no good deals. I mean I feel like I'm getting a deal when a growler is in the teens - that's how badly conditioned I am. But anyway guess I was wrong...

This is a little off the path, but I went to a movie theater the other night that had a surprisingly good range of craft options on draft. Even better, they were all $9.99 for a 22 ounce glass which is a pretty damn good price in Boston. Even better still, one of their options was Clown Shoes Chocolate Sombrero which is a tasty, local, mexican/mole stout. It's also 9% ABV though, so I asked the guy at the counter if it was also served in the 22 ounce glass, expecting him to say "oh no, that one's 10 ounces".

But he didn't say that. And since I wasn't driving and my mother didn't raise no dummy, I ordered the hell out of it.

ETA: the movie theater was the Regal in Fenway for any local folks who might be curious.

$17.99 for a 12 pack of Sam Adams Spring Variety pack (6 different ones, IPL, Boston, Noble Pils, Helles, Irish Red, Hopscape). For someone like myself who usually spends $14-$17 a week on a mixed 6 pack because I like variety from day to day, this one really delivers with quality/quantity/value. And getting Noble Pils again...still tasted quite awesome.

Putting aside one-offs, coupons and in-store specials for a minute - not to mention those deep, deep discounts designed to shift out-of-date stock off the shelves - I would have to say that Lagunitas has the best all-round pricing schedule. Around $6 for a bomber of Cappuccino Stout; $12 for a four-pack of BA High Westified; etc, etc.

    Very reasonable indeed.

I think I remember the date being from early March, which isn't too old, especially considering I picked up the smoky Rover Truck. I'm not sure how University Liquor does it, but, they get a ton of clearance prices from their distributor for beers that just aren't old. (As well as some that definitely are, haha; I don't think I have to tell you to avoid the Pumpking facing the window at this time of year, even at $1.99)

Picked up five marked down beers at Whole Foods in Madison. They have Dogfish Head Barleywine, aged 8 months, for $1.99, which I recommend. They also have Mobcraft Batsh!t Crazy for 99 cents for a 16 oz bottle; I tried it, and I don't recommend it, even if that's how I always feel about Mobcraft brews. They also have Stone Enjoy By 4-20's for 99 cents each. Combine that with a 10% discount, 75 cents off of any six pack through Bevrage, and 25 cents off through Ibotta, and I got a Dogfish Head barleywine, three Stone Enjoy By's (barely out of date), a Mobcraft beer (usually $2.99 and up just to try), and a $3.00 Rauchbier (it was in the $1.99 section; I wouldn't have purchased it if I had known), all for $7.25 or so. Discount shopping at its finest!

Also, if you're in Madison, Brennan's has an app that offers $10.00 off of your first purchase. If you use my referral code, it apparently becomes $25.00! (!!!) Got a New Glarus Belgian Red for 99 cents with it.
