    What they could do (in the future, not this year) is just make each group have it's own variant announced before ticket sales.

    Group A = Handjee
    Group B = FVM
    Group C = Bourbon
    Group D = Ronaldo
    Group E = Cinnamon Biggles TrailMix

    Then when buying tickets, you know what variant you are getting from the get go. Group A will still sell out first, and Group E last. You could still pick up your bottles in a later time slot, but your variant is guaranteed to be the one you paid for.

    I'm more stressed about getting into the fucking festival in a prompt fashion that also allows me to use a bathroom. I could give 2 fuuuuuucks about what variant or vintage I end up with.

    This will probably happen. As we all know years of drinking Dark Lord have rotted away all our teeth. This is the easiest way for FFF to shit on their most loyal customers and make sure teh vanilla whalez get into the hands of the traders and resellers who don't drink the beer and therefore can use their teeth to win at bobbing for variants.

    Because now there will be an incentive to be at the front of later groups. Last year there was no rush to get in the front of D or E. This year there will be a huge incentive. So what do they do with the people who get there early and want to be first in line for D or E when the gates open? They need an organized line for each group at 9.
