I thought this was really good - better than the average gummy if I'm thinking about it - worth trying if you're in the area.

Get out there even earlier next time. Word is spreading quickly. Can't wait to try Rogers upcoming DDH pale.

Agreed. Squeezit was light years better than the previous attempt a few weeks ago. If they can pull off the sub 7% NE IPA, I'm hooked. What interesting is they had pre-sealed crowlers of the previous NEIPA when released a few weeks ago, but not of the squeezit. Hopefully with the demand forecasts, they pre crowler a bunch to grab and go.

The phrasing of this IG post seems to imply it:
" Next Tuesday's (4/25) edition of #beerandvinyl is a special one! We're releasing Lead Brewer @roger_corridor 1st return recipe, SqueezIt, an 8% Double #newenglandipa with Mosaic & Citra."

    That works! Thanks.

I guess the next question is what happens to Forbidden Root's NEIPA program without Roger?

I just assumed not much would change, since I also assumed he wasn't 100% responsible for FR's stuff.

But...that's not based on much, so...:grinning:

BJ is the head brewer over at Forbidden Root, and judging by how much he has shared in this exact thread about his process re: NE style, I wouldn't be too worried about Forbidden Root's NE program, and I'm quite excited for what they will have coming up (including him having mentioned wanting to can Snooze Juice, which would be AWESOME as it is one of my favorites).
I was there on Sunday for brunch and they were completely out of Snooze Juice, and Death by Snu Snu had also just run out.

To be honest, even if BJ weren't responsible for the great stuff at FR, I have to assume that these guys talk to each other while at work, so I'd imagine no one is taking their brewing secrets to their grave... :stuck_out_tongue:

Bartender told me it was Rogers IPA on and I think the brewer said it too in earlier post?

Nevermind we already got that cleared up- yeah BJ was doing the NE style at FR... so with both I am pumped.

I know the new assistant brewer at FR and I know he is into NEIPAs (and brewing them, too) so they picked a good guy to help them keep churning out those great NEIPAs of theirs.

I typically try to avoid going to Chicago anymore, but all of these breweries are making it super difficult to justify not visiting more often.

I try to avoid going to Chicago too, but I can't figure out the logistics of doing that while living and working here.

Yeah, I could see why you'd want to avoid a place with great food, beer, architecture, history, etc. It's really a drag here.
