Nick & Nate sit down to eat with Anthony Bourdain on this seasons first episode from LA..
I found it interesting that Nick is a vegetarian and eventually Nate has evolved into one .
If I remember correctly they are from San Jose area I think ?? Is that correct?
I remember when they both entered the MMA scene . Definitely both kickass fighters and Nate has evolved into the better of the two in my opinion. He's just got the perfect body type for his game ..

It's a little catty and quite fresh. I got a greek mac and cheese coming up.

 

No more Holy Grail, but went to lunch with my wife yesterday and discovered The 99 has a few nice brews flowing. Stoneface IPA tall please and thank you.

 

Cheers mate! I got to catch that episode. The Diaz brothers are pure athletes in the sense that they care about their nutrition as well as their workout regiment. They both have their own styles I suppose. San Jose is about 2 hours from where they are from. You are pretty close,San Joaquin is the county, the city Stockton California is where they are from. A rough town to grow up in that is for sure.

 

It's so dark and gloomy today, here in small-sky country, that, even with all the lights turned on, I could hardly photograph my beer...

What is your opinion of that brew ?
I had it in my hands yesterday and at the last minute put it down and grabbed Weyerbacher Finally Legal .

The label made it sound pretty tasty on a warm afternoon

Never mind.. I just read your review on the forum section. Sounds good for something refreshing

 

That is the biggest problem, not as pretty as my days at the Grail. I don't mind my IPA'S ice cold.

 

I am now sharing my pairing. Did you know that when @Greywulfken started that thread I was too shy to go on it. A little beer will help that. Cheers!

Greek style Mac and Cheese

I used kale instead of spinach and kalamata olives in this greek mac and cheese. Home made ricotta is so easy and I think it tastes great. To fancy up the dish I would add lemon peel. I also paired it with Victory Brewing Summer Love. I like the blonde ale. It;'s a little hoppy and the olives and pungent kale played well off the beer. The hoppier finish lets me keep eating happily. The bitterness lasts a touch longer than the malt. The style finishes "medium dry with the balance toward the malt." That part there is what separates it from an IPA. If it's too hoppy it will be there.
