Looks like lime green wax per Todd Haug's Twitter?

I think a crowler should hold up for 2 weeks. Whether or not it will...we will see.

I was hesitant on it but I've had two of them so far so it's an experiment.

I'm talking about drinking it now though - Sqeezit just recently kicked, so it should still be pretty fresh in the can.

I would assume so since they typically use the same wax for the full year (Behemoth was line green).

Opted to leave my Rye BAVSS at home as I haven't had it before and want to remember it when I open it! Let me know if you want to meet up and open them next to each other. My whole group is bringing heat for an early AM line share.

crowlers have a pretty solid "shelf life"....I have a crowler of Pillows from Central Standard that was filled 4/21 that I'll probably bring to DLD.....unless I feel like I really want to drink it in the next week by myself....which I might do because my self-control with tasty hoppy beers is quite low.

It's probably less the crowler and more the style that concerns me.

I'd recommend mixing in something other than stouts and BA stouts or it is going to be a rough day.

I'll only be sipping on a few of the ones I haven't had yet. I plan on sharing the rest and looking for IPA's, Pale Ales, sours...stuff like that as exchange pours.

Unfortunately the Old Order pick-up is the Saturday after DLD. Otherwise I'd be bringing some Heavyweight Ticklefight Champion of the World to DLD.

I'm the opposite. The crowler can be a bit fickle if not sealed correctly, but there is no reason an IPA shouldn't last two weeks. That can of M-43 I have is probably 3 weeks older than the Squeezit I'll bring, and I just had an M-43 over the weekend and it was delicious.

No reason it can't last, but track record with NEIPAs in Chicagoland after a couple weeks isn't good. Since this is their first batch we can't tell how it will taste in two weeks and I would be quite sad if it goes south if that is the first impression people get of an otherwise delicious beer.

I too Will be bringing a crowler of Squeezit. I already took down a growler since Friday so I think can make crowler last.

I live right down the street from them so I will get more the next time they brew it

Yeah, it's a bit of an experiment. I've got so much damn beer around that it's worth it as an experiment. I know there have been some people complaining about Mikerphone's recent offerings going bit sideways after a couple weeks (although I didn't have that problem with SSS or his previous releases), but who else has had issues? I thought Noon Whistle had been holding up pretty well in crowlers based on what I've been tracking in the NEIPA thread, although I haven't had any of their stuff myself.

I suppose we should apologize for having this conversation that may provide useful information in the DLD thread. :flushed:

Hello new friend, who can save me a 30-minute drive to Corridor!

Depending how good Poetic Hustler is, I may either drink all of the bottles I pick up tomorrow or save one for DLD. Most of the recent IPA's I planned on bringing ended up being consumed last weekend...

So my stout/quad/barleywine list keeps growing, but I need to find some good local (Chicago, NW Burbs) IPAs to bring. I've always been a west coast IPA kinda guy but the NE stuff is intriguing and seems to be what people want. Any suggestions for some IPAs (NE or otherwise) that will be fresh in the next two weeks?

I've already got a 4 pack of mango guppy, 4 pack of son of juice pants, bomber of juice pants, bells Mars and and will be grabbing some galactic double Daisy this weekend. If all else fails I'll be bringing a bunch of Marz stuff.
