what do you guys think about Somewhereness?

think I liked cold box a bit more, but enjoying it. not good at explaining beer notes. I don't read good either

 

I love my Cold Box, still haven't popped a Somewhereness, though.

 

Holly Leaf Somewhereness is much better out of the bottle than when I had it on tap. There isn't a significant amount of cherry flavor, which isn't a bad thing, as it melds pretty well with the hpb Monkish funk going on. This is evident with the color as it's a light copper color, as opposed to a more reddish hue. Mine was decently carbonated which worked well with the tart bite (hard to tell if it's a sour bite from beer or from fruit).

 

Gotta say I'm not a huge fan of Somewhereness. Felt kinda indifferent when I first opened a bottle, opened another one today and it was kind of a chore to finish the bottle alone.

Feel the opposite about Cold Box Cool Ship though, really love the lemony notes in it. And I'm instanely excited for a new batch of Raised Eyebrows, which is probably my favorite HPB sour that's not Cherry ****z or Help Yourself (please make a new batch of Cherry ****z soon).

 

Im sure its somewhere in the 73 page thread, but just need a refresher ... Does HPB fill blank growlers? Going to a buddies house over that way tonight and figure Ill stop by to grab my bottles today and possibly fill a growler for my buddies house tonight.

Saw today that GG's GABF Gold medal was for "Strong Pale Ale." Anyone know how that's different from an IPA?
