Catching up on this thread and realizing it was all BORIS talk was extremely frustrating.

 

I tried turning it into pretzel thong talk but that quickly faded.

 

In all honesty I haven't given what I'll bringing much thought yet. Off the top of my head I'll probably go with some of variation of this:

Maybe some Lizard Kings. Need a few lower abv beers to cut through those big ass stouts. One of my buddy's that I'm going with is a brewer at Metal Monkey and he always has growlers of their stuff, plus some kick ass bottles.

 

If BA made it easier to attach pics we could keep it on pretzel thongs for days.

 

I've got 14 people riding in the bus right now. Looks like we'll be meeting at Stearns/59 in Bartlett (Bannermans Parking Lot) and near Wise/Roselle in Schaumburg with drop off at the Speedway on Calumet. Cost is $61.50 at the moment but if 2 more people jump on it drops down to $53.75 and will continue to go down until it's filled. Still have 10 seats open, if I fill those it'll be $36/per.

 

I just fixed it too.

 

Metal Monkey is a cool brewery. You can't beat a place that has an "Employees must carve Slayer into their forearms before returning to work" sign on the bathroom mirror. Solid beers there too. Was also at their opening day chilling with Lucious the monkey.

 

Same can be said for Dogfish Head 120 which can clock in as high as 18% or Bruery Black Tuesday which clocks in at 19.9%. Both are delicious but definitely require moderation.

 

Yeah they definitely crank out good brews! Wish I could get over there more often.

 

If you're ever feeling crazy one day make a Heaven & Hell. It's an ultra high apv version of a Black & Tan.
Fill one half of your glass with DFH 120. Top off the other half of your glass with DFH World Wide Stout.
I've seen it put people to sleep.

Would love to sample more Bourbon County varieties this year. Have only had:

• BC Barleywine
• 2010 BC Stout

Both were excellent.
