It'd be cool if FFF shared the bottle artwork for each variant when they announced their list. I'm a sucker for cool packaging.

This is my first DLD, and I will say that following this forum has been the highlight of my week. (I live a pretty sweet life) With that being said, I was hoping I could get some help for what to bring for the share. I am newer to craft beer, so my collection is nothing special, but here's what I got.
PW IPA's (Crimson Snapper and Emerald Grouper, I was planning on both of these for sure)
Vlad the 2nd along with all variants (coffee, vanilla, raspberry)

Obviously a lot of shelf stuff, but any advice/reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

 

Your "new to the craft beer collection" looks a lot like my ISO list. I need to find you DLD!!

 

The more beers you bring the more you'll end up sharing, getting rid of, breaking, losing...
Don't get too crazy with what you're bringing into the fest, especially as a DLD virgin. I'd stick with bringing around about 6 bombers worth of beer into DLD. With the sharing and the guest taps you'll get buzzed very quickly. Very, very quickly. Take it easy your first time. Enjoy the fest. My advice...bring just over half of what you listed.

 

Bring that Madagascar though so I can get a taste.

 

It was very good. I'm not huge on vanilla and I thought it was very well balanced with just the right amount of natural vanilla bean. It didn't have that vanilla bomb or over the top vanilla extract flavor. People I know that love vanilla bombs thought it was ok. So if you like a vanilla bomb you might not like it.

 

Since Regal wasn't infected, I don't think anyone will be mad at you.

 

I was going to say the same thing but I wasn't 100% sure that none were infected. I had three and they were glorious.

 

Group C. Look for the husky guy with a "Ryno for Prez 84" hat.

 

You'll be fine. The Madagascar in particular shouldn't last long, and the PW will be popular, especially for people outside of their distro.

 

Now that I picked up some hops, I think my list is pretty much set.

The shirt actually has a navy blue background, which isn't true to the sigil. Yes, I am a big enough nerd that this bothers me.

Lol wow I was totally kidding due to the infection issues. But I do have the beer. I'm with a group of 6. B C and D. (I'm B). We were thinking of hitting the Hampton share the night before. So I will actually bring all of those to the share. I I'll also bring the 2015 prop.

 

On the other hand, where's the ghost whale share and should I bring the half or full keg of Don quijote?

Damn where were you when I was new to craft beer! The Madagascar, sump and abraxas will make you plenty of friends.

 

I could have gone with my "The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword" shirt. That's a strong Northern one. It doesn't fit the dragon theme though.

 

I've heard people say everything but rare could be infected. I've heard people say everything but regal, rare and prop. Who knows...well soon we will. Find me at the Munster Hampton and I'll be cracking the whole lineup. Other than rare...only one left and I'm gonna sit on it for a minute. So if somebody wants to bring one of those.
