Sadly, thanks to #newmoney many don't even know what that is

How much for an oz pour again? $150? I'll take it!

Yeah, like the other guys said Regal should be good. But if you have any doubt just do it early and ask people if they'd be interested for science. I would be :grinning:

I really didn't think there was much debate about the 2015 stuff at this point...pretty much what GI refunded has been spot on from what I've seen. Some of the regulars that they recalled did still seem to turn out well, though. I would keep expectations low for most of the 2015 lineup...except for Regal.

Had a '15 regular back in December from a bottle. It was straight chocolate and beat out a lot of regulars from '10 - '16.

'15 Prop was definitely infected although there may be some ok bottles out there. Rare is fine so far & ive heard some Regal infection rumors but everyone I know personally has been fine

Yes, the "good" regulars are still great - I have plenty of them left and haven't had any problems with the dates that weren't recalled. The dates that were recalled have had about a 40% success rate of the ones I've opened. Even one that my buddy and I opened last year that was a bad date and was infected, we ended up drinking most of it - it wasn't awful like the BW and Prop we opened that night (we did the whole lineup).

Since I'm sort of on a Game of Thrones (or "A Song of Ice and Fire" if you read the fucking books) rant...

Neckbeards gather, and now my drinking begins,
it shall not end until I pass out.
I shall drop no variants, steal no bottles, turn away no pours.
I shall hold back no beer, shun no Beer Advocate.
I will live and die in the bottle pickup line.
I am the drinker in the rain. I am the slayer of whalez.
I am the guy who stays upright, the dude who braves the fecal barrels,
the drunk that tolerates death metal, the guardian from the thieves of allotments.
I pledge my glass and liver to the Dark Lord, for this stout and all the stouts to come.

They recalled all of it. I've had some bottles that were "drinkable", but definitely not what they were supposed to be. I'd keep expectations low.

Rare and Regal are both fine. Hence the reason there have no recalls/refunds. Prop was definitely infected. They refunded them all, and I personally had 3 bottles that I drain poured.

    Yes. Unfortunately.

    Hi friend.

This is like the totem to determine whether or not you are @zach60614 - tolerate it? You aren't Zach. Can't tolerate it? You are Zach.

Can do a Russian-roulette of 15' coffee? Is it going to be "drinkable" or not!?!?.... probably not. I remember craking a 15' Barley in February maybe and it was crap. I remember taking a whiff and a sip and that was it = drain pour.

I just opened my BW and coffee from 2015 about a month ago. If I was in the mood for a Berliner weiss with coffee added I would have finished the coffee. The BW was not good.

Holy crap I can only imagine what you will bring when you are a seasoned veteran of craft beer! Shit I have been hunting down Madagascar for about the past 3-4 years and wasn't until earlier this year that I finally got my first bottle! Likewise for Abraxas.

But as others have mentioned 6 bombers is good. I brought 6 last year and came back with 2 and don't recall even pouring or drinking one or 2 of them. With that said I am planning to take it slower this year bring more bottles and eat, pace and enjoy.

I just popped an AB GBS for my birthday last night. Still one of my favorite beers of all time!

Not this year, but I've taken it a couple times in the past. It's great.
