Darklord Day 2017

That whole list is better than a beginner's list imo. I've been around the block, but I would never pass up Sump, Madagascar, or Abraxas, and Deth's Tar is so underrated it's laughable.

 

I feel that my DLD day would not end well if I drank much Tweak. That will turn you into the next dumpster guy. My plan is to avoid that route. The small glass/small pour approach is not Tweak proof.

Good to know. Hoping to do some bottle sharing on the way there, as well. I feel like I am missing out on all the hotel bottle shares.

Good luck with '15 Barleywine and Coffee. That stuff is a hot mess right now. If you don't dump those two, you are a stronger man than I. I haven't heard anyone say those two aren't infected.

 

There's gonn be so many shares everywhere you turn on Saturday. Plus , do you really wanna get white girl wasted on Friday night ? At a hotel, to wake back up 6-8 hours later? lol I live close to floyds and every year we have a small share , no more then 10 bottles. Just so we can enjoy the festivities on Saturday

Took Jaks tap last year as well. School buses aren't meant for grown ups but still a great time and bottle sharing going on with those nearby.

Well I clearly tolerate it as I go every year. I just don't like it.

 

Ok ok. So tweak wasn't even on my radar to bring. Then I heard a few comments and was like "actually that would be good at 7 am"...now one week to go I'm like "fuck it I'm bring two!"

You'll have no issue sharing on the bus if you want, but that was never for me. Didn't want to start too early and not make it to 1pm, as I've had friends do before.

Its also tough to drink and enjoy anything on a school bus speeding down the Dan Ryan.

The bus is great though, in that you can basically leave whenever you want, and they have a bus leaving every hour.

 

Haha ya. I feel like sharing two of them with a few people is bad enough. I will regretfully and respectfully decline that offer.

...but would love to see somebody else do that....any takers?

 

Anyone else stay at the Comfort Inn in past years? Do they have shuttles? Doesn't seem like a long trek. But I don't hear much about it each year.

 

What's the prize for doing it??
