LA/OC Supermarket & Bottleshop Thread (May 2017)

Picked this up yesterday... flying a bit under the radar. On par with some of Mumford's haze offerings if I were to suggest a comparison point.

 

Ive been really enjoying this one as well as their pale ale, Switcheroo. Their first canned IPA called The Earth That Was kinda fell short. This one is levels above.

 

I've been meaning to make a thread on this beer because I think it is worth talking about the fact that they are distributing this instead of making people wait in line. It is as good or better than all the OC local releases but you don't have to wait in line for it and can be had pretty easily if you watch insta. It would be nice if other OC breweries would just up the production and start distributing these.

 

Once the hype dies down, this will happen. Circle of life and shit.

 

Got mine in LBC at Wine Country.

K's posted it on Insta a few days ago as well.

 

I get mine at Adam's In Redondo Beach.

 

Follow-up from last week on the Leo v. Ursus Fortem: the new batch's canned-on date is 4/13.

Keep your eyes peeled this week for Sante Adairius and Libertine (Get Pitted and Ladder de Fruit) drops this week-- or, you know... you can find them at my shop! Also for the old school fans Saison du BUFF should be in all around town-- DFH handled the release this year and as such released it as four packs.

I've just want to give a shout-out to these monthly threads. It's so clear LA/OC/VC is the next big scene in craft-- SD blew up too big and the bay area never found it's home base. Jump back out of this thread and in the Pacific subforum and look at the threads just about breweries here in our area and I think that speaks volumes as to where the best beer is now. Honored to be a shop in the heart of what I honestly feel is going to be the next big beer scene and I'm so happy so many breweries and small business bottle shops are doing it right. Just picked up my first 4-pack of this at Mr. K's a little while ago. Currently enjoying the first can. Wonderful beer!

Btw, shout out to Mr. K's for their top notch selection and customer service.

 

Got my TW Laguna Hills post of the week. Noble Mosaic Showers, and Beachwood Amalgamator 6ers plus fresh Alpha Galactic in the cooler (all the way in back on the floor). Still got that Tusk & Grain Wee Heavy too. Cheers!

Four Legs Good? I just saw that Gerrard's in Redlands got a couple bottles - makes me feel dumb for flying down with them back in February when I visited; at least I picked up some Saison Bernice, too!

 

Beverly Hills Vendome had a case of Sante Adairius Four Legs Good, yesterday. Are they now distributing to LA?
