People who have attended in the past know how long the lines take. They should plan accordingly. Only problem I see is with new group A attendees who don't know anything about the fest or the lines going into it and don't read the updated website. So you are right in that regard. Although they can always pick up after 7 pm. It is laid out on the website and they updated the policies on social media a week before the fest.

 

Mr. Simpson, this is the most blatant case of false advertising since my case against "The Never-Ending Story!"

I agree and I am modifying my plans accordingly. I am thinking between 7 and 730 should be early enough to get in by like 10 and go right to allotments. But we know there will be new people who are group A that are going not going to realize how the entrance line works. I just feel bad for them.

 

Man! Change the rules 3 times on us, that's cold. Dark Lord day is a fun ass time so they pretty much have us by the balls. I'm not pleased with how the variants were handled but if they can get us into the fest quickly I'll be happy.

 

Why would you feel bad for them? If you're spending nearly $200 on a beer event you should probably know how the damn thing is being run before attending. Its on social media and FFF website so there's no reason people should have issues with showing up at a reasonable time for A group. I'm sure there will be another announcement before the fest regarding the line to get in if you're in A group. I'm pretty confident that FFF has a plan in place to get group A people in ahead of everyone else.

I really doubt that people will have to wait until after 7 to pick up if they miss their time. Last year they were so far ahead that groups D and E could go in early and that was when you got to pick a variant. Just being handed a bag now the line should move even quicker as all they have to do is rip the bottom of the ticket off and hand you a bag. Also I am hoping there is a staging area and that the line will be put in the staging area before the fest starts at 9. If they let people in the staging area starting at 7 or 8 that would eliminate most of the line for group A and everyone in group A can go right into the pickup line.

 

To be clear - you do know that the A group starts at 9:00, and ends at 11:00? I think so, but didn't want you to be planning based on last year's group times. That said, I think that if you are through the entry line by 10:00, you should be through the bottle line by 11:00 no problem.

 

Just wait for the feeling when the person is handing you the bag they've chosen, and you see 4 lime green waxed bottles, and 2 other colors of wax with them. The instant regret of spending $180

I am not confident at all. And I care because last year was my first DLD and honestly I had a blast but it was a shit show, thank god the allotment lines ran super fast because i was drunk as hell at like 330 as a group E. And reading the website which is the only official source of information there is nothing about the length of the entrance line.

I am aware of the new times, thank you. I was planning on a 7-730 appearance before. Now i think its just more crucial.

Honestly if the other two didn't have black wax I wouldn't care, I already have 16s. Hell I would take vintages over Muerte/Chemtrailmix anyway.
