Actually yeah. I've been going to DLD long enough to realize that FFF actually makes changes to the fest every year to make it run as smooth as possible, especially since the fest expanded the entire block and not just in the pub parking lot. It's still not a perfectly run fest by any means but they've made pretty significant changes this year. I like how it's the "cool" thing to shit on FFF for every little thing they do or don't do. If you honesty don't think they have a plan in place to get group A people in before everyone else then you clearly don't remember the last few years as they have had a separate line for group A to get in before the fest.

Welcome to DLD. It's 10,000ish drunk ************s. I don't know what you expected.

Do the math on that and then tell me if that makes sense...

I don't see FFF making $24 million a day. That comes to $168 million a week, $672 million a month, and approx $1.3 billion annually.

I thought he meant $1 million, but the numbers don't add up so I wanted to be clear...

You are making me do math. 180 per ticket x 10,000/ 11 = $164k. That doesn't include all that is spent inside the fest. Let's figure $5 per pour... how many stations. Let's figure 20 (there are more). Let's figure every station pours every 1 minute. So, that is 60 mins x 20 stations x $5 = $6k. Food 10 stations x 60 mins x $5 = $3k. So, I don't know how to figure merch, coffee, etc. let's round up and call it $180k per hour. You are correct, I should have thought through the math. Still $180k per hour x 11 hours = a $2MM day.

Sure but this is gross revenue. By which I mean revenue before expenses AND money taken directly from large sweaty neckbeards living in their mother's basement.

    Ok. $7 an hour x 50 hours (setup and tear down) x 100 peeps = $35K.

I am selling short COGS. Let's round high at $165K and call it $200K expenses.

    Sorry, $1.8MM

You said only resellers would spend $180 to get a variant. I'm saying there are plenty of people who want to try a particular variant who would see $180 as a great price given the secondary market on these things (i.e., not everyone is a reseller).

How common is it for Zombie Dust to be available at the to-go kiosk on the day before DLD?

I apologize but I am still confused. If I am in line to get my allotment when lines open for Group A (say I get to the festival at 9AM) but it takes forever to get through the line and now it's past 11AM, do they turn you away exactly at 11AM or let you get your allotment because you were already in line waiting.

I'd love to know this as well. The whole "variant/vintage" scenario has added an additional "black box" factor into the whole thing. Is the majority going to be variant, or do they only have a small number of each variant.

I know we're not likely to get any more info before the fest, especially not bottle counts, but I do worry that the "pool" for vintages is much larger than the "pool" for variants, and only a small percentage of each group actually gets variants.

I definitely fall in the group of people who would rather have a variant than vintages, only because I've got a vert going and I've never tried any DL variant. That doesn't mean I'm going to trade it, or sell it, or flip it, or whatever. It just means I'd rather not get something I already have.
