Darklord Day 2017

Piggy backing on this one....how packed is the kiosk/bar the day before? I'm the only one in my group that's been there before and the others were hoping to check out the place. I just don't wanna stand in too big of a line the day before I stand in a big line.

 

Alright, lets get back to the good stuff. This is what I'm planning to bring as of right now, and I'll spit it between the bottle share at the Munster Hampton the night before, and in line the day of.

I'd love some feedback - I'm bringing primarily small format bottles (both for weight and to not get stuck with some super high ABV beer), and I'm trying to keep it as local as possible, while still bringing the quality.

 

Don't go then. It's a good hour wait at minimum. Can't imagine the restaurant.

 

Someone needs to make a big sign that says "VARIANT SWAP MEET"

This would be a huge hit for these four variants, ChemTrailMix, Ronaldo, De Muerte, and Oscuro.

 

I agree you guys have slowly gotten fucked as allotment details cane out, but the misery of a few is translating to the joy of many more. Sorry for your loss, but I can't be happier.

 

Then we can make it a game to see how many bottles we need to swap to get from two vintage bottles up to Ronaldo.

I went to the FFF brewpub the evening before for dinner and got a spot immediately at the bar. The place was busy but I don't recall seeing a long line to get in. My wife and I are planning to go there soon after we arrive (around 5 CT).

 

Busch League, the beer version of Bush League. I love it.

 

Where in Cincinnati are you going today?

 

Keep in mind that the pub closes early Friday (at least last year it did. 9pm)? So if you want to sit down and eat you may want to get there early. We arrived at 7pm and only got in the kiosk line and that took an hour. Probably will get there closer to when they open this time so I can eat

Tried to go the Sunday after DLD and it was insane already at 11am waiting to get in

Damn thats what I was worried about. Idc about getting a drink there. Was just hoping to grab a case of zombie and any special releases they might have. Can I bottle share in that line too? Cuz if so I am down to practice standing and drinking.

 

Many people tried & didn't get tickets.

 

I have gone to the brewpub the night before DLD the last 2 year. As other have said the to-go kiosk has been about an hour wait each time, and it was about a 45 minute to an hour wait to get into the brewpub. Not too bad all things considered.

And there is no drinking outside of the pub.

 

Oh I like this. So you could assign percentage chances to each ticket. Too bad they won't tell us!

Next prediction, the vintage totes will be in the I got there late or didn't go post 7pm pile. I think they will do their best to give everyone a variant as long as you go on time with your group.

Pure speculation and maybe wishful thinking, but I'm betting this is what happens.
