I dont have any logical reason for it but I've always hated the name of that street.

Wow, considering you posted this at 9:25 and SC is still 15 minutes away from opening from this post, this is probably the longest line they've had. Besides the fact my house is absolutely filled with beer, I can't even drink much right now, and the wife let me sleep until almost 9 today(!), I'm sitting this one out.

    Any can or line updates?

Depending on where you live, I would say don't bother at this point. I highly doubt cans will last past 12:30. I was about 15th on line this morning and the line was long and still growing as I was walking back to my car.

Then again, I have been wrong in the past.

20 cases of Radical ONE and 40 of Nelsoned left, as per Instagram.

Yeah can't get out there until about 3 and I positive it will be gone by them. Sunday releases just don't work for me, really wish they would do a Saturday release for some pick releases like anything with ONE

Saturday releases would be ideal. Open at the same time as OH and see how that affects the lines.

Maybe ideal for you, but I don't think either brewery is too keen on the idea of competing with one another on the same day. Also makes it harder on people that like both breweries.

Taking it even further...why change what works for them? I'm with BB on this one, Saturdays would be perfect for me as well, but the weekday releases work for the locals and semi-locals (loyal customers get their beer and the brewery eventually sells out of cans) and the Sunday releases work for the geeks, traders, and hoarders and whoever else feels like waiting (and the brewery sells out in a few hours and more people around the country find out about you).

It's kinda like that band you followed from day one. You went to the shows when just the friends and family were there. You bought their demo and their first 7" records. You saw them blowup, get signed by a reputable label and then release their first full length album. Sand City is there.

Right now the lines for SC are really manageable for me. I got there at 9:15, out by 10:45. I think everyone in line got beer. This is about as much line waiting as I will do. Hopefully it doesn't get worse. I guess they could lower limits too if it got crazy, 8 4 packs per person is a lot of beer.

Drinking Radical One now, it is pretty awesome. If I didn't know any better I would think this is a Trillium beer.

Seems to be a trend with their One series (if that's such a thing?). Hope I'm able to track down a can

Indeed ideal for me haha. Not demanding they make a change bc it obviously works and the random weekday releases usually last a bit. It its not broken dont fix it.

However as far as impacting people who like both breweries, some people dont get any beer based on releases (times/days), why does it matter if someone who gets 4 cases from OH cant grab another 2 from SC? Also plenty of local breweries have releases on the same day. I dont see it as competing for a space. I see it as the brewery looking for the best possible time to maximize their profit. As I said before, obviously SC sees Sunday as their best opportunity since it works.

Oops! I Nelsoned My Pants! is right up there with Radical ONE, if you ask me.

Speaking of Radical ONE/any of the ONE beers: does anyone ever get a taste reminiscent to chewable Tylenol with these beers when they're super fresh? It's subtle and doesn't do all that much to detract from my overall impression of the beer, but it's something I always notice.

I agree the Week day releases help those who are local and or work around the area, last Thursday release did last very long.

I agree with your comments on a Sunday release, they did a release on Saturday for the Collab for LIC that worked well. I think changing releases every now and then would allow them to get there beer into more hands.

I also think they need to step up production because there beers are thought after especially the 1 series. Why not do 280 cases of Radical One instead of a split release. Would have sold out anyways but my guess would last until 4pm on Sunday.

I thought it was a really smooth release. The line didn't really even start until about 830 (less the 2 dozen or so who were there since 7a).

Whenever they decide to release is when it will be and we'll all have to make accommodations or arrangements or miss out if the date doesn't work for you. That's where having a network of like minded people helps. As a bunch of you have stated, it is so much beer to max out on Wed and then again a few days later and if you drink other beer aside from SC then you are on the fast track to AA or liver damage...so why not make some friends who can swing by during the week if you can only do weekends and then rotate who picks up? On days where I'm not getting full alotment I would never have a problem snagging a 4 pack for someone or even breaking off a can or two from my stash to someone who asked. And if you are someone who is able to hit other local breweries that are tough for me to get to, all the more better. Rather than complaining about when the beer is getting released, why not try to work something like this out with some of us who can get to sand city? Just this morning, I left a few cans out for someone who passes by my house on their way to work and they dropped off a few cans from recent releases I missed and I left some SC for them. Easy peasy....unless complaining is just fun, which I get too

I'm wondering if there will ever be a release where someone isn't on here complaining...I'd like to see that happen.

I didn't really see a complaint here in this thread, maybe wishful thinking. I read more of the opposite actually, posters happy for SC.
I'm with you, I got a buddy who's hooking me up with a few cans from yesterday and I've got a few Barrier collabs for him. Everybody finds a way to work it out. I, for one, am ecstatic to have a brewery (I'm gonna say 2 breweries because I'm throwing Barrier in as well) that I consider class within relatively close driving range. If there's a line, there's a line, good for them. I didn't make yesterday because of family commitment and an afternoon Christening. This was actually the first "One" release I missed.
