Drinking this while watching bootleg streams of the Belgian cycling classics. Great combination. Once this warmed up, and I gave my second pour a little more vigor, it really shines.

Wow, dunno if this is because it's Petaluma brewed, a bad bottle, how the retailer stored it or what but this is not anything like Born Yesterday. It tastes more like regular IPA. Super disappointing.

Sharing a little '16-'17 KBS side by side today. The '16 is quite boozy at this point with more dark fruit notes and less coffee. Still very chocolatey and thick with nice charred oaky bourbon. The '17 has a nice big roasted coffee presence with a little booze, rich chocolate and roasty toasted malts, charred oaky bourbon, vanilla, caramel, toffee, etc. Definitely prefer this one fresh, as I'm a coffee beer fan and the coffee aroma and flavor seems to fall off quite a bit over a year or so, as well as some of the other more nuanced notes that balance and hold it together and blend well. I'll be drinking my last 3 bottles throughout the year, and probably not even save one for a year to side by side. Cheers!
